I'm a daddy! Jacie and I had a beautiful baby girl on Saturday. She was born with a heart defect, though, and is undergoing major surgery on Monday to repair it. I forwarded you an email I just sent out explaining it, hope you don't mind. Anyway, I know you haven't met Jacie (Danny's wife) but you would love her. And Emma is a beautiful girl who is in need of lots of prayer. We'll keep in touch with good news!"

(01-17-2006). Hi, Gwen, I came back to Utopia from the coast (I was there because of my mountain cedar allergy). I have to go be with my sister in San Antonio when she has surgery tomorrow morning (Wed. 6:30 a.m.) for a metastisized melanoma. They took off a section of her heel last week for testing and now they have to go back in to the bone. They will also test to see if it has affected more of her body. Please add Tina Gullick (my baby sister-49 yrs. old) to your prayer list. We've heard the bad report, but we have a mighty God - a wonder-working God!

(12-16-2004). This darling young couple from our church have been in Russia for a month now. They are so full of enthusiam and love for the Lord and are beginning their missionary journey in Siberia in the winter time. I am making a copy of this to give to my friend, Holly's grandmother, to send to Holly. Please put them on your prayer list. Their names are Holly and Zack Gallimore. They are a darling couple, full of innocense, but have a great love for the Lord. After reading Fresh Bread 101 about Mama Dodge, Helen Hughes Dale, said "Thanks so much for this." and sent this prayer request. Let's remain in prayer for Holly and Zack and all the missionaries.

10-12-2004. My first cousin, Norris R. White has cancer and may have to have Bone Marrow transplant in Dallas in January. He is taking Chemo now with hopes it will help him to the point of canceling the The Bone Marrow. He is in his 50's and a precious person, very meek and loving. He said, "We just have to take what is given to us in life and trust in GOD." Always seems cheerful and okay with all of it. As we all should be when Our Lord Calls us home. After all that is what we are here for is to prepare for that last day. I just will miss him so if God calls him home so guess I'm thinking selfishly. I would appreciate any and all prayers. 08-13-2004. Thanks dear friends for your prayers. My daughter Lisa is home from the hospital. She is to have complete bed rest until the baby comes. They are looking at inducing labor in about 3 weeks, (she is due in 6 or 7 weeks) because that is suppose to be the only "cure" for preeclampsia. We want her to go into labor on her own, like the Lord wants. Please pray that the Father will bring "order" out of "chaos" in their lives. That is how He has me praying. Lisa's Mother.
10-19-04 My daughter, Lisa, is doing much better. Gave birth to a baby boy on Sept. 25, only two days before actual delivery date. Went into labor in the Lord's time, like we had prayed for. Thank you for your prayers. She did have to have a caesarean, after 21 hours of labor and had some minor complications, but is much better now. The baby is beautiful. His name is Kyle Dale Rockwell. 5-23-04. My friend Josh who is going through a divorce has finally found a peace about the whole thing. God has been blessing him in many areas of his life. He might have found a new church that's on fire for the Lord and he is all excited about that. Also the Lord has brought an old high school friend back into his life who Josh said in school she was a Christian and went to church all the time. So be in prayer over them and their relationship. 04-25-04. Hey Everybody! I have an urgent prayer request for you guys!! My friend Tracey just called me with some bad news! Her cousin has a baby that is only 4 weeks old. He has been having problems eating and drinking, he can't seem to hold anything down. After taking him to the Dr. they discovered that there is a part of his upper stomach that is suppose to let his food and liquid go through to his lower stomach that isn't big enough. He needs Emergency surgery tonight. He is in a lot of pain. The went to prepare him for surgery earlier and he is very dehydrated, so they are not able right now, to perform the surgery on him. His parents, of course, are so worried! Please, please, please pray for this family as soon as you read this e-mail and then if you have someone that you know that will pray for them, please pass it on! We know that God Listens!! 04-14-04. Dear Angel Food, I was on the pity pot today for sure. I have an eating problemToday I got into some foods I should not have eaten. I devoured pastries, sandwiches, bowls of cereal cheerios with tons of sugar etc etc.I can't overeat much anymore because my body reacts to it terribly. I have immediate edema pain in my legs and my head starts to hurt and my stomach is crampy etc. etc. I had to nap this afternoon because I was so sick. I feel so horrible that I have offended our Lord AGAIN!! I have promised to do better and I continue to fall. I am so frustrated. Please pray for me. I don't carry my cross well. Barb

04-14-04. Just wanted to tell you another friend I shared this with has just got around to reading it & loves it. She has put in her favorite places to keep reading. Please keep Pat in your thoughts & prayers; she is a cancer survivor but is in constant pain & has a morphine drip. Pat had throat cancer & the radiation left her unable to swallow & she is fed via a feeding tube. She is a very frail/fragile lady & is a size 1 (I cannot imagine anyone being this small). Many of us are so afraid her cancer has spread & she is not telling us about this. She keeps getting major infections where the feeding tube goes in & spent most of August/Sept. in hospital. She lives in CT. In fact, she e-mailed one of my friends in Dallas she was not feeling well & cancelled Easter dinner as she didn't want her grandkids to see her this way. She has been sharing photos of quilts she has quilted. This woman is awesome - the quilts are breath taking. Love, Sheri

1-22-04. Please pray for my friend's kid tomorrow at about 10:30 they are going to a liver specialist. His liver count has been really high and they've done some blood work on him because they don't really know why the count is so high. 1-15-04. Please pray for Myra Reece, a 36 year old that has the same kind of cancer as Bob. She has 3 little boys. They have taken out one of her kidneys and she also has it in her lungs like Bob. She has taken chemo. She is such a beautiful Christian and such a joy to know. Her last tests showed no cancer in her abdomen and all of the little growth are gone and the larger ones have shrunk 50%!!!! they did more tests yesterday and we are praying that she will get an even better report. 01-01-04. Also, please pray for Carmen Schryber who has been moved from the hospital in Kerrville to San Antonio. She seems to be doing better there. Pray that the doctors will find out what is causing the building of fluids on her lungs. And that she will be healed soon and can come home. Gwen

12-22-03 Hi Wanda, Mom wanted me to drop you a line. She was worried about you and thinking about you. Also wanted me to tell you that James Robbins had triple by pass surgery and was doing okay and that Oriola his wife wasn't doing good either. She was having some other problems. I don't remember exactly what but she wanted you to put them in your prayers. That is the important thing. Wanda's recovery has been slow but we are going to continue to believe for the best. She says:
