This is a Praise Report from Skylar's grandmother.
We thank all of you for praying for Skylar, and we know that is why she went through the surgery so well! We also thank you for the emails, cards, gifts, calls, and questions and concerns about her. You are a wonderful group of Christian friends and relatives. We are so blessed. During the surgery, Dr Gonzales realized that Skylar's left kidney also had problems, so he also operated on it, too. We will need to wait 6 to 8 weeks to know how successful the surgery was. She will continue to take medication to help prevent infection (though it hasn't helped much the last three years). Then, she will have another VCUG ( I think that's the name of it) test.

10-19-04 My daughter, Lisa, is doing much better. Gave birth to a baby boy on Sept. 25, only two days before actual delivery date. Went into labor in the Lord's time, like we had prayed for. Thank you for your prayers. She did have to have a caesarean, after 21 hours of labor and had some minor complications, but is much better now. The baby is beautiful. His name is Kyle Dale Rockwell. 5-23-04. I would like to thank all of you for your prayers. Surgery went great and my knee feels totally restored. I will start therapy next week be able to drive in about 10 days. Thank you, Bryan.

01-15-04. Re:surgery....I went Wed to have staples (50) removed and received the pathology report. I have it in black and white that they took all the tumor and the lymph nodes showed that it had not spread. No chemo or radiation needed. I will be monitored by MDAnderson for several years, this is standard. This only proves that God is still in the miracle business and is involved in all facets of our life. Pancho has been a good nurse and housekeeper during this time. Please keep up your efforts on revitalizing the Greenie Gusher.... Theo
01-08-04. On Fri. Jn 2, I underwent cancer surgery at M.D.Anderson. This is 6...and I am home, walking, and slowly improving day by day. Thanks for all the prayers offered up in my behalf. 12-22-03 I know you all are "prayer warriors", so I'm going to make a request....Starting this Tuesday, Dec. 23, pray for me as I go into M.D. Anderson for tests and subsequent surgery for "endometrial cancer". I was diagnosed with it at Memorial Hermann in Bmt. My attitude is positive as I am completely under God's will in this sequence of events. When I get home, I will e-mail you. James is doing great... had a triple by pass monday morning and came home saturday... feeling really good we know that it was through prayers that the by pass went so well..... and we give thanks...and hope you'll have a blessed and wonderful christmas and a good and healthy new year ahead... 11-17-03. Thank you so much for your prayers for Skylar, and thanks to the Lord, there is no kidney damage. We are so thankful to all who prayed. Skylar will still take anti-biotics every day for the rest of her life and she will go to the hospital every six months for several tests. If her temperature ever gets high, she will need to have a special test. We are praying for a complete recovery. Anita Kay McLeod Smith

We all have someone in our family who has wandered away from the Lord and even their families...children, husbands, wives, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, etc. Let's pray today for each others' families.
