FROM DAWN

         Dawn is my niece by marriage. Her husband Russell is my nephew. Their children are like our grandchildren. I have watched this couple train their children in the Lord since they were babies. 
         This week, Dawn sent an email asking me to ask my son the name of a good church for her son (Jed) and his cousin (Charles). The two young men had just graduated from high school and moved to Galveston.
         Since my son was at my house at the time, he used my computer to send his answer. We both stopped and prayed about this need of a mother.
         Since the steps of a good man or woman are ordered by the Lord, I want you to read Step by Step how Dawn received her answer from the Lord.
         “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.” (Psalms 37:23).

Dear Aunt Gwen,
         There have been major updates since the last time I spoke with you about Jed and Charles and CHURCH!!  Just keep them in your prayers because they are on the breaking edge!!!
          Russell and I went last Saturday to Galveston to check out this small church I found on the internet.
          Anyhow, when we went to the service we were shocked because there were only about 12 people there. The worship was okay but mostly opera songs. So Jed had a few comments about that!!  I felt, “Oh no. This is going to really turn him OFFFF!!! I prayed so hard for God to jump in the middle of this service.
Boy did He !!!!
          First, I had been praying for a parent to be impressed to get a boat to take these boys fishing and doing things with them on the Island.
          Well there was one man who was so impressed to pray for the boys that he asked them if they would mind coming to the front for prayer! They went and it was just GOD from then on.
         This man’s wife prayed over each one of them personally. Charles broke into tears. She called Jed “God’s golden boy”!!! and shared that many riches were coming to him.
         But.... [Listen to this.] This man and woman are interested in the college ministry and God has just moved them to the Island to start this work. The man said he had a prayer request he wanted the church to pray about for him. For the last 2 months God has been impressing on his heart to get a big fishing boat to take people fishing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
         Then he introduced himself and his wife as Mr. and Mrs. PARENT!!!!!
          I thought he was joking, but he gave us a card with his name on it and he really is:  Mr. Parent!!!
          Isn’t God so awesome!!!!
          So the boys are excited about hooking up with this couple and helping to grow the church. We are taking Jed’s drums to him this weekend because they are going to start practicing at that church. Mr. Parent has a youth band and plays a trombone! And, he was a Chef in Finland!!!!! [Jed is studying to be a chef.] God is so awesome! Just keep praying for the boys!
