COUNT THE COST

SPIRITUAL
As Christians when we hear the words: Count the Cost, usually the first thing we think of is what it cost Jesus when He paid for our Salvation and the many benefits He offers us for life on earth.
God must consider us valuable INVESTMENTS.
As our thoughts go to the Cross, Father, we praise You and are overwhelmed with Gratitude for the Price you paid for us.
The SECOND thing we think of when we hear that term: “count the cost” is what will it cost us to follow Jesus? By now, most of us know there is a cost…but the ASSETS far outweigh any LIABILITIES. You know what they are. A quick review will keep us on track and Jesus FIRST in our walk on earth and with earthly INVESTMENTS.

Our first search was for the ANSWER to our spiritual needs. When we found Jesus…our hearts knew instinctively that He was our ANSWER:
both Spiritual and in the Flesh.

Count the Cost
The first thing this TEXT BOOK…RD-PD (Rich Dad – Poor Dad) caused me to do was “Start Looking.”
Led by the Holy Spirit, I followed a prompting to stop and talk to Norma Hoover as she was waking out the front door of her real-estate office.
Whooo…did I ever gather INFORMATION!
I made no commitment, but explained what I was looking for and told her I would appreciate anything she could teach me about real estate. The more information I gathered, the better her suggestions wounded to me. Out of 3 proposals I eliminated 2 just by the way I felt when I saw the places.
Then, while COUNTING THE COST to see if I could work this deal, I learned the meaning of these following terms.
Closing Costs
Escrow
Warranty Deed
Tax Certificate
Pro-rated Taxes
Survey
Title Policy
Without putting a number (cost of each), these words had little meaning or significance. I had to learn what they meant to me personally. (S/F).
PLUS & MINUS
“Accentuate the Positive” is my personal style of judging the value of something. So, I made 2 lists. A PLUS + list and a MINUS – list. I ended up with 10 plusses and 2 minuses…so far. I am still collecting INFORMATION. But the deal is sounding better all the time. Just like my JESUS.
HIDDEN ASSETS
In our sincere search we will often find “hidden assets”, or assets we had not thought about when NOT CONSIDERING the cost.
One I saw…was my car payments (which I no longer made because car is paid off and I’m not ready for a new one.) From my figures, my monthly payment for this deal would be less than my car payments which I have not had to pay for over a year. A new car is not a priority for me at this time.
SPIRIT and FLESH
People can either learn about God through life experiences or they can learn about life through Godly experiences. Even Finances.
