VEHICLES
OF GOD
[If
this is not for you today, you do not need to read it.]
But
I feel it is for someone.
SUNSET TO SUNRISE
Our
bodies are our vehicles that carry our spirits. Recently I felt like I was fading away. It
was a strange feeling because I am very healthy and certainly not ill. This morning I was wondering
if I might not be experiencing, to a degree, the way others feel who are waiting for the Lord to come
get them sooner than I think He is coming for me.
Please
forgive me if sounds disrespectful or uncaring, but this was the example I received. I saw our
bodies as cars. Some new, some old. And I knew that when our old car wears out…it’s
time to get a New one. It may be kept in the garage for awhile until the trade-in can be arranged.
My
heart goes out to those dear children of God who are awaiting their great exchange. As God has
a few more purposes and loose ends to tie up for them before He comes to get them.
Slowly,
slowly, their body parts cease to function…one by one. They feel themselves fading day
by day and they wonder when the Lord will come to get them.
In
their helpless physical states, I think they are reliving and enjoying the many experiences God gave
them on earth. Their spirits are still alive and well and do not wear out. God thinks of
Everything. He provides a plan even for this special time of their crossing into a better life.
The
time has come when they are resting in His care. But they are not useless as the world may think
they feel…or they may feel, if someone doesn’t show them. God is still using them
for His Kingdom.
My
earthly father was in a rest home for a long time before God took him Home. I don’t know
what all he was thinking nor what special conversations he had with God. But he always had a smile
on his face, loved people, and made us all laugh. Only He and God know how many lives he touched
in those last days.
Whether
in a hospital or at home, look at all the people around your loved one, serving them. Look at
the families that gather together who have been apart; often for a long time. Some come to Salvation
at this time. Others are available to tell of their Hope of Glory and God’s Eternal Plan
for all who will come to Him.
Much
prayer is going up, not only for the loved one who is being prepared to cross over, but for many who
are brought together because of their love for him or her. Yes, God is still at work, and this
time is not wasted.
Often
Heavenly visions and angels will come to this resting child of God. And, often they are shared
with God’s other children who are present.
Thoughts
of Salvation and Heaven are magnified. The use of God’s Word is brought forth. Salvation
becomes imperative.
As
we see our loved one fading, God is preparing us to accept their desire to follow their Heavenly
Vision; to release them to the Glories of Heaven. And, Praise God, their exceptionally beautiful
new body…that is all sufficient to relate to their eternal spirit, is awaiting them.
When
God’s time is exactly right…at His appointed time, not before, not later; when all the
lives of His choosing have been touched by the remaining days of His child, He will come and get her/him
and take them Home to Heaven. Their spirit will return unto God from whence it came.
They
will return in the clouds with Him one day…all fresh and new.
Praise God! And we will all
be together again. What a glorious celebration that will be. Look for it! You can count
on it.
