LAYERS
OF
INSIGHT
(Truth)
Are
you seeing things in God’s Word that you have never seen before? I believe we are on the
3rd Layer of insight or revelations of God.
I
can’t forget how fascinated I was while studying biology (physiology). Opening an encyclopedia to
study the parts of the human body, there were two transparent pages over the completed picture of the
body. The first transparent page showed only the bone structure. The second page showed only
the internal organs of the body. I was able to simplify my learning process of a very complicated
assignment.
It
is like the books that have been sealed until the end times are being opened one by one as God is pouring
out of His Spirit upon all flesh.
The
Lord told Daniel in Daniel 12:14, “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even
to the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”
I
Corinthians 4:1 says that we are the ministers of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.
As
God reveals His Mysteries to us, His Holy Spirit will direct our spirits as to how, when, where,
and to whom God desires to show these revelations. Those who have ears to hear will hear. And
what we see and share with others of like-spirit, will be confirmations of what our Lord has shown
each of us.
It
is God’s desire that we come into the unity of faith…being one in the Spirit with Him
and each other. In this, we will hear the same messages from our Lord.
LAYERS
OF TRUTH
Yes,
like transparent layers of TRUTH being stripped away from one on top of the other, God reveals more
truth to those who seek Him in His Word.
Today,
I read I Corinthians 3:16-17 in a completely different light than I have ever read it before.
It
says, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
“If
Any man defiles the temple of God, (His chosen Temple), him shall God destroy; for the temple of God
(His chosen Temple) is holy [made so by Christ’s sacrifice at the cross], which temple ye are.”
FIRST
LAYER
(Skimmed Over)
The
first time I read this scripture I just skimmed over it as I was reading through the Bible at a fast
pace. This was the First Layer.
SECOND
LAYER
(Conviction
and Condemnation)
The
next season that I studied it, I was convicted that I should take better care of my physical body. After
attempting this on many occasions and continuing to come short of my own expectations, this scripture
turned from one of “conviction” [made aware of a needed change] to one of “condemnation”.
THIRD
LAYER
(Praise)
(God will
Destroy All our Enemies)
Today,
as I read it and meditated on it; I saw two new things. I’m sure there will be more revelation
in the days to come.
The
first thing that got my attention was the name “God”. It didn’t say the
Holy Spirit, which of course is the Spirit of God…but it said the Spirit of God.
And
since the Lord had given such a strong word in my spirit that GOD-BIG GOD-FATHER G0D …was back
on the scene, seeing His name “GOD”, made me suddenly aware of the magnitude of WHO dwells
in us. The Creator of all of Heaven and Earth abides in us.
Perhaps
many of us had become familiar and comfortable about the Holy Spirit (the third part of the Trinity),
abiding in us. But when we read GOD, the Spirit of GOD Himself…abiding in us…we
sense an appreciation and power available to us, that we may not have seen before.
The
second thing that I saw today, was that if anyone defiles us…God will destroy them.
Ouch! We don’t like to think about that in one sense, but in another sense, it shows
us how important we are to God. This is the third level of understanding that came to me.
For
years this scripture has convicted or condemned us, as we thought we were the ones defiling His Temple.
Consider
again pealing back…like overlays of Truth.

LAYER: Conviction – then – condemnation
THIRD
LAYER: Praise – God will destroy
all our enemies.
“If
any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple
ye are.” (I Corinthians 3:17).
