THE SPIRITUAL TEMPLES
WITHIN
SUPPORT THE NATURAL
I come to my computer right now in Faith. What
the Lord has revealed to me today is almost overwhelming. If He had not, in His Grace, sent me
confirmation of what I was sensing in my spirit, I don’t know that I could have written this
one.
I spent many hours this morning copying down
scriptures about God’s Temple. Each one more awesome than the one before. My final
conviction and conclusion was that His Temple is in Us.
So where does that leave the four-walled churches
that have been erected by man? Are they to be thrown down as Christ spoke of in the Bible, that
not one stone would be left standing?
I’m trying to avoid taking the time to
give you the scriptures right now, because I want to capture what is in my spirit. But I can give
them to you at the end of this if necessary.
“Something is missing, Lord. Something
is missing from the organized churches. What is it?” I just could not figure it out.
I began to have a vision of a wonderful possibility. You
may think I am crazy, but I saw this happening. A large progressive, popular church, could declare
a 3-Day Fast from work. I pictured them shutting down all work for 3 days, even telling people
ahead of time that they would do this.
I saw
a sign on the front door of the church that said: “Closed for 3 Days for Renovation. If
you are a visitor come on in and help, or return in 3 Days.”
As
Jesus said the temple would be torn down, not one stone left upon another, but would be rebuilt in
3 days, I know He was referring to His physical body, but I think it can also apply to His Spiritual
Body (us).
During these three days people would be in the
church praying and seeking God’s will. A change is coming about in some churches and, as always,
God has a Plan. His people who are called by His name will each be seeking His Face to
hear what the Holy Spirit will share with them. At the end of the 3 days, each should share what
the Lord has shown them.
I knew in my spirit that each child of God,
has His Temple in them. I saw little tents inside the big sanctuary made by hands. Within
these small tents, individual prayer was going up to God…not to be affected by anyone else praying. Each
was to hear for themselves.
With God’s temple in each of His children,
I’ve wondered how we have mistreated His temple in each other. Each temple is to be honored.
I sense that the Natural Temples have become
too cluttered. Where is that Holy Hush the Lord was telling me about? Who is
listening for the Voice of God? As Moses said he would go no where unless the Lord went with Him. Has
the Ark of the Covenant been removed from many churches, signifying the Presence or absence of God?
As each small temple (individuals) come into
the Natural temple, they should be welcoming the Presence of God. Where is His Glory? Where
is His Honor? Are we worshiping work, people, or buildings? God wants to give us something
so much greater…but we must hear His Voice. Have we become too busy to simply Listen?
Perhaps many programs will need to be cut out. There
is a CHANGE happening. For their season, I personally believe God had a plan. But God does
not sit still. He is always moving forward, and if we are to move forward with Him, someone, (any
one who will), must Listen. I think we are past the time of stirring up the presence of God in
our churches, I think it is time for us to Be Still and Listen to what the Lord will say to us.
Unless the Lord build the house, they labor
in vain who build it. It’s His House. Only He knows what He wants there. We must
take time to Listen so that His Glory, no one else’s, begins to Fill the Temple again. If
the small temples are filled, they will bring the Glory back into the Natural Temples. Otherwise,
the Natural Temples are useless…wasting time, and causing havoc.
I had about decided to not even try to send
out this “Fresh Bread” because I couldn’t find the answer I was looking for. I
didn’t want the natural temples destroyed, but I do believe God wants to show us how to replace
them (renovate) them so that they are FULL of HIS SPIRIT, and become the REAL THING.
Too much was running through my mind. I
couldn’t simplify what I was feeling. Then, I turned on the television to a channel I don’t
watch that often. The preacher John Kilpatrick was describing all the things I was sensing. And
he made it simple. He saw the change coming, too. He had been a pastor for 35 years and now
I think, he is an evangelist. I had never heard him before. It didn’t matter, because
God was speaking to me through him. The Holy Spirit confirmed what my heart was reaching for.
John Kilpatrick gave a sermon on the Martha
and MaryChurches. He said God has drawn a line in the sand (which had meaning for me) between
the two kinds of churches. The Martha Church will continue to grow financially and remain very
busy. But there is a Remnant which is like a Mary church…who have been called-out from
the natural church as we have known it. They march to the beat of a different drummer. They
are the ones who say, “I have heard Thy Voice.” The Mary church is the one who desires
to hear the Voice of God above all other voices and follow His directions no matter the cost.
In the Martha churches, the pastors have become
slaves of the people. Not intentionally, but God had rather they have time for Him. The Holy
Spirit is saying, “What about Me?”
As I see people coming together or alone in
their private temples, seeking the Face of God, they are no longer trying to please others with their
prayers, but only seek to please God and hear from Him. They don’t make up ways to give
Him Glory; they ASK Him what He would like and how He would receive Glory.
It’s time for CHANGE. Will we be
ready? Will He show us how to change the natural glory of man into the Spiritual Glory of God? I
believe He will show us if we ask one on one. Then His GLORY will fill our earthly temples (bodies
and church houses) in a way we have never seen before. Not just on Sunday, but every day of the
week.
The scriptures I copied down by hand, underlining
specific words and making notes on the side. Far
too much to share. But, if you really seek to understand where God’s Temple is, you can
read these for yourself.
