         “The Bible is a book of types and shadows.”, I heard preachers say. But it went over my head. I accepted it as just another biblical fact, but didn’t understand it in my heart.
         Until the Holy Spirit reveals it to our hearts, we remain walking only in the shadow of what is real…the true meaning behind the words of Jesus. We continue to walk and live in the natural, rather than the spiritual…which is His Real plan.
         “God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him, must worship in spirit and in Truth.
         “…the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him.” (John 4:24,23).
         Those who are spiritual must walk in the Spirit. “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:25).
         As the days are being shortened and the return of our Lord draws near, I believe His people are coming out of the shadows and walking more and more in the Spirit. As God is pouring out His Revelation Knowledge on all men, I believe people are beginning to see more clearly. As though looking through a glass darkly, are now seeing face to face for themselves new levels of Truth as they read God’s Word. As though He has given them a spiritual magnifying glass to see things in His Word that they never saw before. Truths that have been hidden through the ages and preserved for just a time as this, are being revealed today.
         GOD, Big GOD, Father GOD is back on the scene revealing Himself in a greater way than ever before. Those who have eyes to see will see. Those who desire to see and hear what the Spirit of the Lord has to say, only have to ASK.
         This has nothing to do with how smart we think we are, or (God forbid), how worthy or unworthy we think we are. God is doing this because the time is near and He wants His children to Know Him…the One and Only Living God. He wants them to come out of the shadows and walk with Him in All Truth.

FOOTSTEPS

         I can trace the Holy Spirit’s footsteps as our Teacher, as He recently led me to three open windows of revelation. Luke 24:32 is an example of Christ opening the scriptures and explaining them.
         First, He gave me an understanding about His desire for Spiritual Giving, then the True Meaning of Spiritual Baptism, and during my study, the Truth about Spiritual circumcism.
         Now, as He is opening my eyes to the Truth of the Scriptures, everywhere I look, I am seeing the types and shadows (natural) and desiring to know the True meaning of each. I desire this because being FULL of TRUTH is so much more desirable than being FULL of SHADOWS which have no substance.

SIMPLE WOMAN

         I’m just a simple woman. God made me this way and I like who I am. Angel Food is about God making His Word simple for me and giving me the opportunity to make it simple for others.
         What the Holy Spirit has given me today to share, may not seem simple to the readers when they first read it. But, I truly believe our Lord’s purpose in keeping Angel Food or Fresh Bread messages short, is so that His children, those who truly seek His Face…will go to the scripture for themselves so He can Reveal His TRUE NATURE to them individually.
         In all honesty before God, I do not believe that anything I have shared about Types and Shadows is contradictory to God’s Word.

ACTION: Praise God for a good concordance. Go there please, and look up words like: spiritual, truth, shadow, light. Allow the Holy Spirit to peak your interest as you go from scripture to scripture…away from the shadows into the ever increasing light of His TRUTH.

“But the path of the just [those justified by Christ on the cross], is as the shining Light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”(Proverbs 4:18).

For the law having a shadow of good things to come, [and] not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. (Hebrews 10:1).

Howbeit that [was] not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. (I Corinthians 15:46)
