A SIMPLE
“GOOD MORNING”
Will Do

Have you ever felt like you were slowly fading out of the picture of your children’s lives? I wonder if God feels that way at times?
God created the family and I believe He meant for us to remain connected on a regular basis.
The day a baby is born into a natural family, there is so much JOY. Oh, so many dreams for that child. Now the family is complete. The parents seldom think about the day when they will not be needed or be an important part of this child’s life.
The world teaches that we must allow our children to grow up and live their own lives. This is true in many ways, but did God ever intend for earthly families to disconnect from each other any more than He meant for His children to disconnect from Him?
A simple “Good Morning, Father”…may be all he desires. It lets Him know that He is our Father; we love Him, and our family will always be connected to Him.

As we grow older and face different stages in our lives, we may become aware that we have phased many people out of our lives. Now, we may begin to sense that we are being phased out of the lives of our family.
No one means to do this. Everyone just becomes too busy…including ourselves. (Makes us wonder what we can do about it.)
But, you know what? God’s never too busy for His children or His family.
This is not meant to place guilt on any of us, but just to better understand God and His plans for our lives on earth as it is in Heaven.
I don’t think God wants us to be so close physically to our grown children and grandchildren, that we are stumbling over each other, and can’t make a step without consulting each other. No. We all need space.
I think God is just reminding us to keep regular sweet connections between each other and Him.
When God doesn’t hear from us in awhile, He must feel disconnected and wonder if we are phasing Him out. Not really! God doesn’t wonder about anything….(as my son Brent says.) So, who is phasing who out?
This Fresh Bread is not meant to be heavy. Just a reminder that our earthly families are important and they can be kept connected by something as simple as, “Good Morning Family”. [You can list them by name…cousins included.] We can do this through prayer, a short email, card, or a phone call.
So, if we don’t want to feel like we are being phased out of the lives of those we love, we can speak from our hearts each morning to them; whether they are in our physical presence or not.
There will never be a phase in my life when my family is not important to me, so I am adding them to my “Good Morning” list:

         “Good Morning Father,
                  Good Morning Jesus,
                            Good Morning Holy Spirit,
                                     Good Morning Family.”
Sometimes, all God wants from us is a simple…”Good Morning.”
