TAX-FREE
(Follow up on Taxes)
For
those of you who are beginning to think a little more about Taxes, may I remind you that Salvation
is Tax-Free.
Notice
the definition of Christian tithing:
"tithe (tith) n. 1a. A
tenth part of one’s annual income contributed voluntarily or
due as a tax, esp. for the support of the clergy or church." (The American Heritage College
Dictionary, p. 1444).
Tithing was commanded by the LAW.
Giving is
voluntary from the HEART.
If this is your Free-Will method
of giving, you will probably want to continue…but please, understand that God does not require
this of you anymore than He required it of Jesus. Let it be “giving” from an abundantly
grateful heart. Give because you want to…from your overflow.
I don’t
think I need to tell anyone that this method of giving is so delightful that we will desire to help
others more than buying trivia for ourselves or wasting money or time that could be used through
our new passion to give.
Yet,
we will never be asked to do without the necessities for our family and selves.
Jesus said, “Render to Caesar the things
that are Caesars, and to God the things that are God’s. And they marveled at Him.” Mark
12:17.
So, we pay our bills and rely on our Heavenly
Father as our total source of supply. Just as God sent the fish with the coin in it’s mouth…to
pay the tax…so that there would be no strife.
“Notwithstanding,
lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and
when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto
them for me and thee.” (Matthew 17:27).
TAXES
Taxes are man’s system of supply by taking
from the people what the government can not TRUST God to supply. On our money is written…”In
God We Trust”. The day will come when every knee shall bow to Him and trust Him as our total
source of supply as it was in the beginning in the Garden of Eden.
Has this method of supply crept into the church? Are
we being “taxed” by the church when the church should be trusting God to prepare tender
hearts of love to give Freely and Joyfully?
The next time you give, I pray that you can
say to God with all your heart, “Lord, this is not a TAX. I GIVE because I want to, out
of the abundance of what You have given me.
No guilt! No…’have-to’ spirit,
but just because I delight in seeing Your Word go forth and I delight in loving and helping my earthly
family and my brothers and sisters in the Lord. I delight in doing Your Will, Oh, Lord.
“It always sets me FREE. And, oh
how I love Freedom. You, Lord, came to set the captives free. Now, Lord, I am Free to
Give out of the overflow of my heart and abundance of my supply. Thank You Lord.”
NO MORE TAXES FOR ME
THANKS, LORD

I AM TAX-FREE
To the readers of Fresh Bread: I want to personally thank God right now for people in
the Body of Christ who search the scriptures diligently…(all the scriptures) to find the Whole
Truth, and pull it all together for us.
I did finally read the 50 page article that
I was hesitant to read before I shared with you what the Lord shared with me. I was blessed to
see that it only confirmed what the Lord was revealing to me in the simple way that I needed to hear
it.
A man named I. Ray Smith, whom I had never heard
of, searched the scriptures for us. If you want Biblical proof of what I am sharing, please ask
me to email his article to you.
God
wants His people to be Tax-Free with
Him. His gifts and callings are without repentance. He does not levy a Tax on them. Isn’t
it enough that man places taxes on us? Why would God add to that burden?
He has a HIGHER call on our life. He always
has a BETTER PLAN, even to “GIVE”. And He will show us how when we ASK.
Thank
You Lord, that I am……………………………………………….
