I DON’T UNDERSTAND!
If
we don’t know
Him NOW,
How will we know Him
THEN?

To say, “I
don’t understand”, is not an excuse but an invitation to ASK for more revelation.
Seek the Lord
while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Draw close to God and He will draw
close to you. Know Him even as you are known by Him. He reveals His secrets to those who
earnestly seek to know Him.
Once again, God’s
Words flow from the Bible; scriptures written on my heart, making connections as one having a conversation
with another.
“Thy
Word have I hid in mine heart….” (Psalms 119:11.)
“It is
written.” The words He gives me are His Words. They are recorded in the Bible and
can be found by looking in your concordance.
As the Lord has
me search for a special scripture in my cherished small Bible, given to me by my earthly father when
I was eighteen years old, the scriptures are so familiar that I receive whole lessons just by
running down this list. I am filled and inspired by just a few words because I have the rest
of those scriptures stored in my heart. In this, God is revealing to me even more, the answer
to a prayer I prayed for years, not quite understanding it’s full meaning.
I could never
remember the exact “addresses” (scripture and verse), but I could remember what my Lord
said…because it was written on my heart and the Holy Spirit brought it to me, as needed.
As I was reading
Daniel this morning I noticed in Chapter 12, verse 8, where Daniel said, “And I heard, but
I understood not: then said I, ‘O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?”
At this point
I realized how freely the prophets were able to say, “I don’t understand.” And
with the same freedom before God, they were able to ASK for more revelation of what God was showing
them. They desired to understand His plan.
Learning from
God’s Word, that I have the “mind of Christ”, I must now admit that this can have
more than one meaning. The “Baby Food” I ate was good because it was simple and
accepting and TRUE. But there is more to this than what first meets the eye.
With
my True
Confession that “I have the mind of Christ”, a little glitch in my knowledge made
me think I should not need to ASK for more revelation: that, like a child in school, I should
not raise my hand and admit, “I don’t understand this yet.”
No. The
teacher would say to put my hand down and not interrupt the class by asking questions. So, I
would keep my mouth shut, try to move on to the next level of whatever we were studying…leaving
a blank space in my learning process.
But, Praise God,
in my private classroom, I can raise my hand any time I wish. I have the “freedom” to
interrupt my Teacher and tell Him,
“I don’t quite understand. Would you please explain that
again? I have a need to know.”
Our Heavenly
Father smiles and is delighted when, in our humility, we admit there are things we do not know. He
graciously says, “ASK and ye shall receive.” (Matthew 21:22, John 16:24).
Yes, there are
many things stored up for us in the Mind of Christ, and He will gladly share what they are as our
fellowship with Him becomes more and more one of Love and Trust. The better we get to know Him,
and Who He really is, the more we will understand and experience the blessings that come from having
the same Mind of Christ. (I Corinthians 2:16). We have the mind of Christ so that He can
instruct us.
“Let
this
mind
be
in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 2:5).
In Daniel 12:4 God tells Daniel that in the End Times: “Many
shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”
And in verse
10, He says: “Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked
shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.”
And who are the
wise, other than those who have the mind of Christ? And those, who, in humility, are Free
to Ask? Those who, in humility, are willing to admit they do not know everything, but they
TRUST that God does, and He is excited about His children who will spend special time in His presence: those
who will even say, “Lord, I don’t understand. Would You, Who knows everything,
please explain it to me?”
Even
if you ask the same question over and over again, I believe the Love and Patience of God, is gentle
and willing to explain the answer to your questions.
All
we have to do is ASK in sincerity; then Listen in Faith.
HOW SHALL WE KNOW HIM
THEN
IF
WE
DON’T KNOW HIM
NOW?
By the way, I
keep hearing in my spirit: “He’s Coming! He’s Coming! He’s
Coming!” There’s not room or time this morning to tell you the things our dear Holy
Spirit is speaking to my heart…but He wants us to be ready and looking for His Return.
He doesn’t
want me to be the one to tell you. He wants to speak to your heart for Himself. I believe
that all over the world, our Lord is speaking to His children; those who have the mind of Christ. He
will call each one by name and say: “Come Brent. Come Sugar. Come Linda. Come
Jan. Come Janie. Come G.F.. Come Patty. (insert your name here ________.” All
those who know His name; all those who hear His voice. They will know Him because they
have the mind of Christ.
That’s
what He wants for us…to recognize His voice when He calls and recognize Him when we see Him
coming in the clouds. He wants us to KNOW Him NOW…so we will know Him
when he comes for us.
“Beloved, now are we the
sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we
shall
be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we
shall
be
like
him; for we
shall see him as he is”. (I John 3:2).
The
final promise of Christ in the Bible (Revelation 22:20), is that His return is imminent. In the
next to last verse in the Bible, Jesus says:
“Surely I come quickly.”
And the Believers response is simply:
“Come Lord Jesus.”
Salvation Prayer
If you don’t
know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you
to the greatest Friend you will ever have. As you say these words, if you’ll believe them
with your heart you will be born again. (Romans 10:9-10).
“Jesus
come into my life. Forgive me of all my sins. I ask You to cleanse my heart, and make
me a new person in You right now. I believe that You are the Son of God and that You died
on the cross for me. Jesus, I want to thank You for loving me enough to die for me. I
accept all that Your shed blood bought for me on the cross, and I receive You as my Savior and
Lord. In Your name I pray. Amen.”
If
you’ve just prayed this prayer, congratulations! You
are born again, a “new creature in Christ” and as, 2 Corinthians 5:17 in the New
Testament says, “…Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become
new.”
You now have a whole new life with Jesus to look forward to starting NOW. Your slate is clean before God. Your
spirit has been reborn because of Christ’s great sacrifice and love for you.
[Note to readers: I know that most of you have already asked Jesus into your heart to be your Lord. But, just
in case, someone has not, I want them to have this opportunity to KNOW Jesus. Then when He comes
they will know Him even as He knows them now.]
“COME LORD JESUS"
