THE WORLD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS
CANNOT SATISFY

The world’s righteousness is so different from God’s righteousness. As I meditate on the verse “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.” (Matthew 1:6)., I have learned through the study of His Word, that His Righteousness was transmitted to us at the Cross. He took all our sins and poured His Righteousness into us. We had no righteousness of our own. But, now He, who knew no sin, became sin for us that we might be made the Righteousness of God through Him. (1 Corinthians 5:21).
One who has received such Grace from God appreciates and is ever so grateful for God’s Righteousness which He lavishes upon those who love Him. Surely it is His JOY, for us to receive His Righteousness to the FULL.
When we do, we can come with boldness before His throne…into His presence.
Do you remember years ago when we had to step in a small cement area filled with disinfectant before we were allowed to enter the public swimming pool? Now they use chlorine to disinfect the whole pool and the foot bath is no longer used.
However, this is just one example I see of coming freely into God’s presence. It’s an example of reading His Word, saying “Good Morning” to Him in a private place of worship, (your personal tabernacle) and waiting for the Holy Spirit to direct your thoughts…often with just one word as He reminded me of His Righteousness this morning.
When He shows me His Righteousness, I am almost repulsed by the righteousness of the world. God’s ways are so much higher than the ways of the world.
The world’s type of righteousness is limited. It can only see and do as far as the human eye can see. It is a set of individual rules that people try to force on others and themselves. It is never satisfied.
But the true Righteousness of God, finds completion and closure in Him. The same peace that comes when one knows that his sins have been forgiven. ┼
By His Grace we were saved through Faith, and that not of ourselves. It is a gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8). God gave us His supernatural faith to believe and receive what Christ did for us on the Cross. He gives this same grace for us to believe that He poured His Righteousness into us.
When Satan comes to steal the Word and we forget that we are the very righteousness of God, or if we have never read the truth in His Word, or received the revelation of this truth, we fall back on our old human righteousness…which never brings peace.
This is why it is so important to renew our minds every day. When Christians know how important this time with their Heavenly Father is, they will arise early enough to be with Him, allow the Holy Spirit to renew their minds, and be prepared for the day. “That we put on the new man, which after God,  is created in righteousness and true holiness.” (Ephesians 4:23).
“Can ye not wait with me one hour?” Jesus asked His disciples. The morning is the first-fruits of the day. Like the tithe…the first fruits are the best.
When I am not sure where to go or what to do, I hear the Holy Spirit speak the scripture to me: “Seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.” In other words, when I seek Him first, I am no longer surprised that He takes care of the rest of the things I feel I need to do that day.
Oh, I pray, that today by His Grace, you have received the FREE gift of His Righteousness as your very own. Now you are filled. Now you are satisfied. Now you are Free to Serve in the FULLNESS of all He has to offer you. You are His SEED and His SEED remains in you.
Today you walk in the completed work of the Cross. Today say: I am FULL of God’s Righteousness given to me by my Heavenly Father. Not as the world sees “righteousness” but as my Father has imputed His very own pure righteousness into me.
“For if  by one man’s offense (Adam) death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of Grace and the GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:17).
Let’s remember in Isaiah 61:8-10 that God has made an everlasting covenant with us. We are the SEED which the Lord has blessed. Let’s wear the Robe of Righteousness mentioned in verse 10.
When we come to the end of our own righteousness and by Grace, receive what He has given us…then, we can enter His Rest
