SONS OF GOD
VS
“Children of God”

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the
sons of God.”
(Romans 8:14)

               A light clicked on in my spirit when I read this. I had been hearing this verse from several sources recently. Now, Someone pulled the light switch on for me.
               I believe I now see the difference between “children” of God and “sons” of God. Sons are more mature than children.
               Sons know their Father and have grown more into the statue of Him because of the time they have spent working beside Him and with Him. Constantly, they have sought to be more like Him and desire to know His ways so they can demonstrate His desires.
               I experienced a quick catch in my breath as I realized that many people who say they are ‘led by the Spirit’, really are not. Perhaps from time to time, they are, but do they consistently allow the Holy Spirit to lead them and direct them in all of their decisions? It’s a very comforting and safe place to be.
               Before a child of God can be led by the Spirit, they must learn to hear from the Spirit. And before they can learn to hear from the Holy Spirit within them, they must first be a child of God as provided for them in Romans 10:9-10.

               “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt
                BELIEVE in thine HEART that God has raised Him from the
                dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the HEART man believeth
                unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made
                unto Salvation.”

               Yesterday, a friend of mine spoke a prophetic word which gave me great joy and hope. This is it:

               “There’s going to be a MANIFESTATION of the SONS of GOD.
                The very WORD. They are going to walk in that Word.
                 There’s going to be an “Outshining” of the Word of God…
                 Like Elijah, Moses, and Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration.
                               They were the very WORD of God.
                 So that it shone “outward”. We are also one with the Word.
            Some standing here today will see Christ coming in His Glory.”

               Today seems like an appropriate day to ask: “Are we truly being Led by the Spirit? (I know I can still be more sensitive to His leading. It takes practice but so worth it.) If not, why not? If so, then rejoice and accept your position as a son of God, rather than a child.
               God is preparing His sons (Galatians 4:6-7) to reign and rule with Him. Be prepared to see these sons and daughters (including yourself) manifested (revealed, recognized) in a great way. You will know them because God’s Word will be manifested through them. I believe there will be a special glow about them, revealing that they have been with Jesus and a transformation has taken place in their lives. The WORD in them will be so strong, that others will be affected by their presence as containers of the Power of God’s Word.
               I pray that all of God’s children everywhere, will ask the Holy Spirit to teach them HOW to be led by the Spirit, if they don’t presently know how. He is faithful and He will do it.
               Then we will no longer be children playing church, but sons of God.
“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but  when I became a man, I put away childish things.”
(ICorinthians 1:11).

THERE IS A HIGHER CALL ON OUR LIVES.
WILL WE REACH FOR IT?

ARE YOU ALREADY WALKING IN IT?
IF YOU ARE LED BY THE SPIRIT,
YOU ARE.
