JESUS NAILED TO THE CROSS
SATAN
NAILED TO A POLE
Jesus was nailed
to the Cross for us, but He didn’t
stay there. Satan was totally defeated at the Cross. Our Lord wants the Sting of Sin to be removed
from our lives completely.
In
Numbers 21, the children of Israel asked Moses to pray for them that God would take away the fiery serpents
that were stinging them. Moses prayed and God gave him a remedy.
For
years, I never understood the true meaning of this message…but
today, I believe I do. God is pouring out His revelation knowledge to all His children who will take
time to hear.
This
is the remedy that God gave Moses for the children of Israel and we can apply the same remedy today.
“And
the Lord said into Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass,
that everyone that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.” (Numbers
21:8).

Have
you been bitten by fiery serpents such as lies, mental and emotional attacks, physical or financial
or relationship attacks? Those tormenting spirits that bring pain, confusion, doubt, hopelessness, frustration?
The Holy Spirit, our Teacher, uses things in the natural to teach us things of the Spirit. How many centuries
ago was it when the natural fiery serpents were attacking the children of Israel , and today, through
our lack of revelation knowledge, we allow them to continue to attack us?
I’ve
asked you to put SIN in a BOX, believing it was detached from you at the Cross, so you can be free to serve
our Lord. Please remember that
SIN is an outside
attack on the children of God.

“Whosoever
is born of God doth not commit sin:
for
His seed remains in him (us): and he (we)
cannot
sin, because he is (we are) born of God.”
(I
John 3:9).
When
I use to read Numbers 21:8, it looked like we were being asked to worship Satan. I knew that wasn’t
right…but I didn’t know what was right until the Holy Spirit revealed it to me.
I
believe now that God is saying to us: “Fear
not. Trust Me! Look at what I have done to the devil, I have crushed his head forever. I have had Moses
nail him to a pole.

You
no longer have to be afraid of him. I sent My Son to the Cross to set you FREE from the fear of SIN
and death.
“Accept
all the things Jesus did for you at the Cross. He totally defeated Satan…and if you will look at
that ole serpent and keep him nailed to the pole, with his head crushed, you’ll know that his sting
can no longer hurt you.
As
a child of God, you can no longer look at that “Serpent on the Stick” (pole)
without remembering the victory God provided for us at the Cross.
As
the seed of God, we were nailed to the Cross with Christ, died to our sins, and rose with Him to live
our lives through Him. We were not nailed to a pole with the Serpent. So we do not have to be afraid
of Satan and can only experience more power in our lives as we spiritually and mentally keep Satan nailed
to that pole. We can walk right up to that “Serpent on a Stick”, look him in the eye, and
say, “What a loser! You are defeated forever. I’m no longer afraid of SIN. It cannot contaminate
me because I am the seed of God, and His seed remains in me.
We
cannot look at “Satan on a Stick” without turning our eyes immediately higher to the
Cross; and being reminded that “Greater is He Who is in us than he who is in the world.” That
ole serpent the devil…who is “Stuck on a Stick”… has no more control over us.
HIS STING IS GONE
THE
STING OF SIN IS GONE FROM OUR LIVES
LEAVING
US FREE TO SERVE.
Satan
likes to play mental games with us. Let’s remind him how we see his head crushed and nailed
to a pole. We’re not taking the nail out! We have the authority to mentally keep him out of our
business. We follow our Father God. Satan is not our father…we are not his seed, and do not have
time for Satan’s antics when he wants to lie to us and try to convince us that Jesus did not really “crush” his
head.
So,
when you feel bitten by a fiery serpent, look at the “Serpent on the Pole”, and you
will immediately remember Jesus at the Cross…risen…free from the nails…but Satan
is still nailed to the pole. Praise God!
BY THE POWER OF GOD
LET’S
KEEP
HIM THERE!!

It’s
been several days since I’ve received
some fresh bread to share and there are so many wonderful ingredients in this message, that I feel
we have only dipped our fingers in the batter.
Once
again, please use this message as a “spur” to
search the scriptures for yourself, asking for revelation knowledge so that this truth can be sealed
in your heart, leading you to more freedom in the Lord each day.
If
you want a very good explanation of what I am attempting to share, read John G. Lakes ’s book,
The John G. Lake Sermons on Dominion over Demons, Disease, and Death; edited by Gordon Lindsay, published
by Christ for the Nations Inc., Dallas , Texas . Pages 87-94. This is good Bread.
Jesus
said in John 3:14-15, “And as Moses
lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up. That whosoever believeth
in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
