CELLS
IN
THE BODY OF CHRIST
(Recognize Your Space)
Some
cells are like extensions. You wonder why you feel closer to some cells (believers) than to others.
The extremities are very important but they are not working in the same area of the Body that you are.
When
you find yourself so closely connected to another cell, it is an awesome awareness. You are so closely
connected (even if it’s just for a season
and a special purpose) that you are hearing and understanding the same directions from God. He promised
to never leave you alone or comfortless. He is using you like two cells of the body working together
on a common assignment.
You
may recognize that you even receive the same attacks from the enemy. At the same time you are receiving
the same revelations from God…even asking the same questions. As iron sharpens iron, when you
come together in the natural, and share what the Lord has shown each of you…you are confirming
His directions. You are still two different cells, but working in the same area of the body for God’s
purposes.
Do
not be alarmed when all of the cells of the Body do not understand you, nor have the same passion for
your assignment as you do. Do not be alarmed when you do not have the same passion for their assignment
as they do.
Check
out those cells that are truthfully the closest to sharing your same passions. God may send only one
at first to be an example that such a person really does exist. This is a spiritual connection of value
to the Lord and His Body.
You
may have many friends in the Body of Christ, but try to see just how close they are and relevant to
God’s assignment for you. Just because
you love them and they have been such a source of comfort to you in the past, do not assume that His
Living cells have continued move on in that special connection with you.
Begin
to be aware of who God has truly connected you to in Purpose…no matter how strange that
Purpose may seem to the world or in the natural.
When
you come together in the natural with other True Believers, you will recognize the presence of the
Lord. Each one will have something to share. Each one will have the mind of Christ…but that
does not mean that you are connected to them on your particular assignment.
As
the cells flow through the Blood Stream…they
will connect and disconnect for seasons and purposes. Ask God to reveal to you how closely you are
connected to the other cells.
Enjoy
your current close connection, recognize what cells are not currently connected this close; love the
extremities…hands, feet, arms, legs, fingers, toes…but
do not run your soul through spiritual contortions trying to make your cell totally compatible to theirs.
Let them work their work, and you enjoy yours.
“Will
there be other connections like this one, Lord?”
“Will
it begin to look like this?”

(Sorry
I couldn’t draw a line
connecting You and Close Contact.)
I
don’t know, but I won’t be surprised
if the current cell I am so closely connected to will have that answer. When she does I will recognize
the TRUTH and we will rejoice together. Nothing is more exciting for us than hearing the TRUTH.
We
seem to be in the same orchard, picking the same fruit. How has God connected us? In the natural:
l.
We have had many of the same experiences in life.
2.
We both receive the same kind of attacks.
3.
Have fought many of the same spiritual battles; still do.
4.
Have received the same training, although we were not together
in
the physical or had we even kept in touch at the time. We were
trained
the same lessons while in different environments.
5.
We both have a deep hunger for the TRUTH and to know God
better
every day.
6.
We are both teachers of the Word.
7.
We hear the same “truths”.
8.
We believe in each other and each other’s
call.
9.
Many people do not understand us and think we are hopelessly crazy.
10.
We have both been called to the “highways and hedges”.
11.
We both know how to hear the Father’s
voice.
12.
And are trained to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Do
you have someone in your life like this? If you do, enjoy the connection. It’s solid. It’s
real!
Perhaps
it’s been a long time since you’ve
had a friend you could trust completely and you have missed this. Someone who understands what your
heart is trying to share with them. What an awesome gift.
No,
this person is not perfect anymore than you or I, except in the eyes of her Heavenly Father, whose SEED
she is. (l John 3:9).
But
it is Christ in her, that allows me to trust again. And if Christ were not in me, I would not have this
revelation of seeing Him in her.
Who
does God have in your life today who totally believes in you and is in total agreement in what you
are doing?
Jesus
is the First and most
Important
One.
All
your relationships will stem from Him. It is the season to recognize who is close to you, how close,
and who you are walking in agreement with.
Don’t
try to walk in total agreement with everyone. Understand the distance between yourself and them. Accept
it as a part of the plan God has put in motion. This understanding will bring you peace. You will become
more stable…satisfied…and productive.
Perhaps
I am only an extremity to you, and you are only an extremity to me…but you are very
close to someone else where God wants you in the Body of Christ.
This
does not mean that you and I are not close in many ways…mainly
love. It does not mean that any of us are more important to the Body than another.
It
does mean that we have each been POSITIONED somewhere in the Body of Christ for His overall purpose.
And for the health of the Body, I pray that God reveal to each of us the individual spaces between our
cells and other cells.
It
is a comfortable space; wise, and productive.

Draw
a picture of your physical body. With a circle around it…which represents God’s family
and His Seed.
We
cannot all occupy the same space. So, as you think of family members and relationships and even those
you pray for…begin to write their names
on different parts of the figure that represents you.
Just
how close are they really…to you? How
close are you alike in your functions?
As
I drew this picture I realized that some I pray for are outside the circle. Some are just on the line because,
by their lack of confession that Jesus is their Lord, I don’t know if they consider
themselves a part of the Body of Christ, or not.
Perhaps
you never had the problem I did, of wanting to be very close to everyone I knew. I do love deeply, all
my friends…probably too deeply if that is possible. But I found out that when a family
member or someone I felt should love me as much as I loved them, didn’t show it, I had a tendency
to think I had done something wrong. This became an unnecessary burden on them as well as on me. When
members of the Body of Christ didn’t feel the same passion for whatever ministry I was in at the
time, I took it personal…which I should not have.
As
I began to mentally place my friends and family in spaces that were not necessarily close to me in life
styles and beliefs, yet very much in the Father’s family and mine, I was able to “GIVE
THEM SOME SPACE”, as my friend says. At the same time, I found a lot more SPACE for myself. I still
prayed for all of them, but it was no longer such a personal burden.
I
don’t know if this makes any sense to you.
I hope it does because it is another way to Free you up in your prayer life and emotional attachments.
To
give you SOME MORE SPACE. It’s really okay, NOT to be extremely close to every person you
know. Find your comfortable space and let them find theirs. When your spaces overlap from time to time,
that is so good. But when each of you are busy about the Father’s work in another area of the Body,
don’t feel offended or left out when they don’t spend as much time with you as they do with
the cells that are more closely connected to their area of passion.
