EGG SHELLS OR PILLOW FIGHT
(Can you Step Over the Egg Shells?)

      Have you ever been around a person where you find yourself mentally measuring each word you say because you don’t know how they will take it? Or, perhaps anything you say could cause them to become angry?
      The Lord says to stay away from an angry man. You begin to feel as fragile as those egg shells.
      Then you think of another friend, that when you are with them, you find yourself freely sharing all your deepest thoughts. You can make jokes and tease and laugh…totally forgetting about the egg shells. You are free! You TRUST each other, and your friendship has been proven over time, that you have nothing to fear.
      God has given us friends like that so that we can see what our relationship with Him should be like. Can you begin your morning by laughing with Jesus? Can you see Him laughing at your tousled hair, starting a pillow fight with you, even before the bed is made? In the middle of an imperfect house, to hear Him laugh and say, “Who cares what the house (the world) looks like. I love you. Let’s have some FUN.”
      Can you picture Jesus in shorty pajamas and His hair tousled?
      He was perfect, but were His natural clothes always perfect. Especially as a real boy? Do you think His hair really remained in place when He was calming the storms or out fishing?
      What if one of the disciples in the boat had said, “Look at Your hair, Master. It is hilarious, all up in bunches on top of your head.”
      Jesus would have laughed, I feel sure. And the disciples would have laughed because their hair was doing funny things, too.
      With the release of laughter, there would have been absolutely no stress in that boat. If they had tumbled into the water at this time, I doubt that any of them would have cared.
      When someone laughs with you, you feel loved and approved. At least I do. What a wonderful gift our Lord has given us. What a great form of Praise.
      So the next time you see “egg shells” between you and a friend or loved one…grab a pillow and challenge them to a Pillow Fight.
      If they don’t want to play, you and Jesus go ahead and have your own. Who wants to walk on egg shells when they can have a rip-roaring, laughing, fun, loving…Pillow Fight?
      Sorry Egg Shells…you’re probably going to get stomped on. But that can be fun too. J So Grab your Pillow and you and Jesus have FUN today.
