WHAT HAS GOD SHOWN YOU LATELY?

“FRESH BREAD”

      People may wonder why I ask them, “What has God shown you lately?”
      There is a reason I ask…but I didn’t realize that reason myself until now.
      God wants to communicate personally with all of His children. And, although I get very lonely at times for my earthly husband and the unity of my earthly family, Iknow from Isaiah 55:8-9, that our Heavenly Father has an even higher call on our lives.

      “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
      Neither are your ways, My ways, saith the Lord.

      “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
      So are My ways higher than your ways,
      And my thoughts than your thoughts.”

      This question, “What has God shown you lately?”, can cause different reactions. The few times that I had asked it, was usually to someone that I knew was reading God’s Word and praying for others. So, their door to communication was already open to hear from Him.
      Others may have reacted silently by thinking, “Who does she think she is, that she says she hears from God?” Or, “I don’t hear from God. What’s wrong with me that I don’t hear from God? She’s crazy. People don’t really hear from God?”
       Or, hopefully, they have just never thought much about “hearing from God”…communicating back and forth with Him all through their day on a regular basis, allowing His Holy Spirit to teach them and direct them.
      God has blessed me with more than my share of quiet time and opportunity to draw near to Him and hear His sweet voice in my spirit
(James 4:8).
      As God has different assignments for all of His children, they are certainly not all assigned to spend hours waiting before Him, as He has assigned me, but wherever He as assigned you, in the middle of raising your family, your career opportunities, whatever He has you ding right now…He so desires a quiet time with you…where you learn to hear His voice speaking to you…personally. Not your thoughts but His thoughts…which are much higher and can only be revealed to you through prayer…which is speaking to God and allowing Him to speak back to you…His Love and Assurance.
      As the day is drawing near for Christ to return for His Bride (the church – the Body of Christ), He wants each of His children SEED to recognize His voice as He calls them by name.

      SIGNS OF THE TIMES : We will recognize the sign of the times by the Sword of the Spirit (S/word=Spirit and Word). Not only by what the Bible has taught us, or by what we see in the daily news, but more assuredly by what God is telling us in prayer-communication. “Those who have ears to hear…let them hear.”
