DAYS  OF
HIS
FLESH

Sometimes I find it hard to picture Christ in the Flesh.  We know Him in God’s Word and we know Him in our hearts by His Spirit, but we were not the generation who physically walked and talked with Him on earth.  So, we are the ones who walk with Him by Faith and not by physical sight.
We believe our other ancestors lived and died because we have heard stories about them or have written proof and documents that they existed and in various ways we are a part of their lineage.  They were real people who walked in the flesh on this earth.
Our Lord Jesus Christ, was a “real” man who lived a life much like we do, but only for 33 years.  We know of other men who have lived a far less number of years and others who lived much longer on this earth.  But, our Lord, was Flesh and Blood just as we are.

SPEAKING OF MIRACLES
A
MIRACLE  WORKING  GOD

Where other people have come and gone from this world, God provided a way for Christ to remain with each of us daily in our hearts through His dear Holy Spirit.  Now, this is truly a wonder working miracle.

A
SYMPTHETIC
AND COMPASSIONATE  CHRIST
(Hebrews 5:2)

The extent of Christ’s compassion is expressed in Hebrews 5:2 as God’s Word says that Christ, our High Priest… “has compassion on the ignorant and on them that are out of the way, for that He, Himself also is compassed with infirmity.”

THE IGNORANT

“Oh, Lord, there is so much we still do not know.  And we have friends and loved ones who are also ignorant or so limited in our knowledge of your Great Love for us.  Thank You for having compassion on us.  Thank You for having walked this earth for us…understanding our fleshly needs as well as our spiritual ones.  You truly experienced both and do understand each of us and have compassion on each of us.

CHRIST’S  HUMANITY
IN
THE DAYS OF HIS FLESH

(Please allow me to exchange the word “He” for the word “You”
…as I offer these verses in a personal conversation (prayer) to our Lord who continues to abide in us.)
“In the DAYS OF YOUR FLESH, Lord, when You had offered up prayers and supplications (requests) with strong crying and (human) tears unto Him (Your Father God) Who was able to save You from death, and You heard what you feared to hear…that, although You were His Son…yet, even You learned obedience by the things you were willing to suffer in the Flesh…for us as our example.  We too, may often hear God say “No” to present circumstances because He has a higher call on our lives.”
(Hebrews 5:10).  At this point God made Jesus our High Priest after the order of Melchizedek.  This is the New Covenant priesthood where Christ sits at the right hand of God in constant intercession for us where His priesthood far exceeds the Aaronic priesthood which is explained so well in Hebrews 7:11-28.  And chapters 8-10 continue to reinforce how Christ’s obedience during The Days of His Flesh…made Him the perfect, eternal, compassionate Priest for us today.

THANK  YOU  JESUS
FOR
UNDERSTANDING US

Thank You so much for Your Word that comforts us in our times of ignorance and forgetfulness.  When we cry tears, just as You did, seeking deliverance.  And, for awhile, we too, may hear our Father and Your Father say “No.”
