THE  UN-SATISFIED
HUNGRY  SOUL

When we come to the end of ourselves; our soulish way of doing things, with soulish expectations and desires, we remain un-satisfied.  The  soul remains hungry.
Our souls seek recognition, praise, self-worth, worldly accomlishments that we consider done by our own hands, and approved by man.  Whether riches, land, relationships, or just a heart that no longer feels pain, we do all we know to do to satisfy our souls.
How blessed those are who come to the place where they are able to admit that only the Grace and Mercy of God can satisfy their hungry souls.
It’s by our spirits that Holy Spirit speaks to us.  Our spirits are bound to the Spirit of God.  When we ask Jesus to come into our heart and we surrender our soulish desires for His divine purposes, our spirits are awakened to His.  His desires become our desires.
A translation begins to take place.  Once we see the difference between our perfected spirit man and the attitude of our soulish man…even our soul (who we are in the natural flesh) begins to desire more of the sweetness of our clear, clean spirits.

The soul is an interesting thing.  Even when it recognizes what God is saying to our spirits, it has a tendency to try and convert that message into man’s way of doing things.
No matter how many churches we build, how many hungry we feed, how many books we write…our souls are never satisfied.

Yet, in God’s supernatural way, He satisfies our spirits as we read His Word and fellowship with Him.  Bit by bit, day by day, He feeds us just as much as we need for that day.  Like the manna in the wilderness.
Our spirits say, “Oh yes, Lord.  This is good.  This is enough.  I know it will always be enough.”  And our souls are satisfied temporarily.
But your souls will continually revert back to their soulish ways, becoming hungry again.  Never satisfied!
However, that is useful, too, because it is the hungry soul that always comes back to God’s Word and His Presence to be fed.
When soul realizes it can do only so much and from time to time throws up its hands and says, “I give up”, I do believe this is the place where God’s Grace steps in with a re-newed awareness and even presence of His Grace, Mercy, and Love.

JEREMIAH  31:13b & 14b

Soul may look in God’s Word, almost like standing at the refrigerator looking in, not knowing what it is hungry for.  But Holy Spirit reveals it to our spirits, who then translates it to our souls.
These verses say:  “…for I (God) will turn their mourning into JOY, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.  (HE will.)
“…and my people shall be SATISFIED with My Goodness, saith the Lord.”

GOD  BLESS  AMERICA
(The Land that I Love…My Home Sweet Home)
Land of the Brave…Home of the Free

As the world seems to be drawn today towards Israel and examining the meaning of Pesach-Passover- פסח (Pesach, Jewish holiday celebrating the Jews' exodus from slavery in Egypt- Mizrayim   מצרים to their promised land, my mind often considers the possibility that America could be the Promised Land for the Gentiles…the wild olive branch.
There are reasons I consider this, but only God knows.  We all look forward to our Heavenly Jerusalem as our hearts are drawn toward Israel and the earthly Jerusalem today.
As we read the prophet’s words of Jeremiah in Chapter 31, it speaks in a 3-fold way; to Israel (Jews) to the Gentiles (America???) and to each of us personally if we have ears to hear what the Spirit would share.
[Please do not take this as fact.  It is only where my mind goes sometimes as I can see the parallel of America’s journey with that of Israel’s.  And as I can hear our Lord speaking to us individually at times through the same sequence in the Bible.  I love to think of America as the Home of the Brave and the Land of the Free.  To me that is a type of a PROMISED LAND.]

HE  RESTORES  MY  SOUL

Our Father is not only interested in our spirits but also our souls.  Psalms 23:3 “He restores my soul…and leads me in the right paths for His name’s sake.”
“And my people will be SATISFIED with My Goodness, saith the Lord.”  Spirit _ Soul _ Body; all are dear to our Lord.  And, in His supernatural way, He is able to blend them so He can Bless us in all things and we will be completely SATISFIED with His Goodness.
Although we may have only a taste of it today, that day is coming, and I believe soon.  But, it will come and will not tarry.  Until then, we stand on His Promise that He will SATISFY us all.

TODAY  IS  PASSOVER

Today, March 20, people all over the world are celebrating the Passover in many different ways.  I pray that you are celebrating it in your own personal way.  Remembering the day, God delivered you out of bondage by His Saving Love and Grace.

JUST A SHORT NOTE FROM THE BIBLE
Exodus 13:4-9 On this day you are going out, in the month Abib. And it shall be, when the Lord brings you into the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, which He swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall keep this service in this month. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a feast to the Lord. Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days. And no leavened bread shall be seen among you, nor shall leaven be seen among you in all your quarters. And you shall tell your son in that day, saying, 'This isdone because of what the Lord did for me when I came up from Egypt.' It shall be as a sign to you on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that the Lord's law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand the Lord has brought you out of Egypt.
