A LITTLE CHILD
SHALL
LEAD THEM
ולד = boy = yeled
ולדה = girl = yelda

I love it when our Lord drops a word of wisdom into our spirit when we are least expecting it. At that moment it seems to have little connection with other things we have been focusing our prayers on.
The word I heard was: A Little Child Shall Lead Them.
Who? Me?
This day I knew the word was for my precious adopted daughter in the Lord, Jodi. Her eight year old son Hart, has been diagnosed since birth with Diabetes 1. A single mom who also has a beautiful ten year old daughter named Hannah, truly has a load to carry, but the illness of her son is the constant burden of her heart.

Hart and Hannah
I was not thinking about Hart at the time this word came to me. It was a couple of days later before I began to understand what our Lord was showing me. It was a clue to the healing of many areas of Jodi’s life. It was the:
BEGINNING OF A JOURNEY
OF
BELIEF
As I pondered God’s Word about healing, I understood and was reminded through stories in His Word and examples I had seen, that: “healing” is an individual and personal experience.
Often it is a progressive achievement of a God-given goal, rather than a quick-fix. It’s (zman-time-זמן ) for little Hart to be healed. It’s zyman for him and his mom and sister to begin their journey of believing.
WALK-ABOUTS
(He sent His Word and healed them. Psalms 107:20)

As Jodi searches the scriptures on her Journey of Belief, two great words to look up in her concordance are “Heal” (healed, healing) and “Believe”.
Jesus said: “If thou (Jodi, Hart, Hannah) can BELIEVE, all things are possible to him (them) that believeth.”
“And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I BELIEVE: help Thou my unbelief.” (Mark 9:23-24).
HUMANS HAVE
HUMAN EXPECTATIONS
(I Corinthians 12:9)
We see something someone else has received and we assume that must be the way we should receive. We have not searched the scriptures enough to realize the personal ways Jesus healed so many and still does today.
My friend Johnny prayed for direction in the medical field. God led him and he was healed that way, as God often does.
My grandson Cole has been given the Gift of Healing…and has boldly gone forth healing many in his path. He is only 20 years old.

This is Cole in the center with his two younger brothers
and his parents.
A FOUNDATION MUST BE LAID
To throw out a few verses for my precious daughter is not sufficient. It would not be enough to sustain her on her journey of faith. Her Belief in God and His Word must be constantly re-enforced as she goes, and leads her children into a Faith/Belief Walk for their personal journeys of faith.

SEEK THE HEALER
MORE
THAN THE HEALING
Everything in the Bible tells me that it is our Lord’s will to heal. He even tells us to “heal the sick”. We certainly need help with our un-belief to do this.
Of more importance to Him than our physical healing is His desire for us to KNOW HIM. His desire is for us to mature in the higher call of His ways. Each time we come to Him seeking our physical or emotional healing, we get to know Him a little better.
BE HEALED AS YOU
GO
(Luke 17:12-14)
And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
And they lifted up [their] voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
And when he saw [them], he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.”
I love the story of the lepers who were healed as they went. Although they may not have seen the instant manifestation of their healing in the natural, as they continued their journey, they witnessed their healing…because they Believed the Master’s Words.
People come to Jesus for healing, and He always heals everyone who asks. Many times, I have observed that He often heals a deeper wound than what we see on the surface. This can be disappointing to the seeker, but true seekers will continue to come to Jesus until they are satisfied that our Lord has removed any infection that could flare up again. The deeper things we may never be aware of until later.

Why do I say, “a little child shall lead them?” I do believe that our love for our children will lead us to that deep intimacy our Lord desires of us, so that He can prepare us and our children for many areas of our lives where we need to overcome attacks from the enemy. As our world appears to be in much turmoil at this time, we all must have the comfort of BELIVING that God has good planned for us and is well able to meet ALL our needs. There are ways listed in the Bible explaining how we can increase our Faith. We can move from Un-Belief to Belief.
So, desiring to pray in Belief for the healing of dear Hart, a little child,
is just the beginning of a journey of my own, to move out of the zone of
Un-belief in more than one area of my life.

“Lord, help our un-belief and give us the Faith of a child.”
Isa 11:6 “and a little child shall lead them.” |
