#014

I love this graphic drawn by dear friend Melvyn in Amsterdam.
It describes so well what I am feeling about Xala Bread at this time.
Thanks Melvyn.
As I read Psalms and Proverbs this morning, I seemed to camp at least for a season on Psalms 145:15-16. (Also Ps. 107:27-28).
“The eyes of all WAIT upon Thee; and Thou givest them their meat in due season.
“Thou openest Thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.”
SEASONS OF:
MILK – BREAD – MEAT
What is our “meat” in this season? What is our “meat” for today? Jesus said: “My meat is to do the will of Him Who sent Me…and to finish His work.” (John 4:34).
LETTER TO A FRIEND
(Bread Crumbs from the Past)

Rev. Evelyn Eagle
As I feel our Lord has called me to send forth His Word through writing, there are times this is carried out as a letter to a friend. “When we have done it unto to the least (none are really least) of these, we have done it unto Him.” Often a letter turns into a message to be shared. Thus, the beginning of this Fresh Xala Bread.
Dear one, let’s follow the Bread Crumbs of your past…your due Seasons. Oh my, you have had so many due seasons. Seasons in your life _ experiences where you felt satisfaction _ where your spirit and soul were fed Thee meat of knowing you were carrying out your Father’s will.
Each time you TRUSTED Him to open his hand for you and supply all your needs. Your Faith in Him pleased Him so much.
Of course the devil wants to steal these feasts from you. But, they were your Great Days of Satisfaction. They were a part of God’s continuous feeding Meat to His precious daughter Evelyn…watching her grow constantly in ways the world could not see, but she knew when she had received meat from the Father’s hand.
And, oh the JOY of these precious memories.
SO, WHY DOES SHE WAIT TODAY?
“More, Lord. I want more of that precious meat.” Nothing satisfies her like knowing that she is doing the Father’s will…even for one day.
She remembers what it was like and she wants more. She waits for Him to Open His Hand today.
DUE SEASON
(Psalms 145:15)
In her youth, this beautiful Indian woman preached to great crowds of people, walked with the elite ministers of God. Now, she lives alone in the mountains of North Carolina where our Lord supplies her with “meat” each day.
Around her are no longer the cheering multitudes where she fed them the Bread of Life, played her accordion and preached the words of a prophet, but today she serves the hurting, discarded, drug addicts, prostitutes, poor and lonely…the pure Words of God.
Positioned on this mountain top, often feeling alone…but comforted and satisfied daily by the meat of knowing she is doing Her Father’s will. How does she know? Because she knows Him personally and spends time with Him.
NATURAL MEAT
Would she desire at times to have more natural meat on her table? Would she like to have a nicer home? Would she enjoy the pleasure of her daughter working with her in God’s ministry? Are times hard for her in the natural? You bet!
But, like her Lord, she too, can well say: “I have meat to eat that ye know not of.” (John 4:32).
And, Psalms 37:25 says, “I have been young, and now am old (mature); yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”
MILK – BREAD – MEAT
With our Lord, there is always “something more” and it’s not unusual for the best to be reserved for the last.
Rev. Evelyn Eagle has been fed milk, bread, and now her regular diet is the MEAT she receives to do the Father’s will on mountain tops of ministry…or to the wounded in the valleys of deep decisions.
SHE WALKS ALONE
ON
A MOUNTAIN TOP
WITH HER LORD.
If you ever feel a nudge in your spirit to help this truly dedicated sister of yours…please pray for her or send a donation as led by the Holy Spirit to help in her ministry. She never asks for financial help, but I know she would not refuse it and would put it to good use.
NOT PLANNED
I didn’t plan to ask for help for our sister. But, that’s where the bread crumbs led me (you could say). At least, that’s where this message ended up. Perhaps this is our meat for today. Surely this is our Father’s will.
Let her know she is not alone, but that the Body of Christ appreciates this brave and loyal daughter of God who does not run from His lost and hurting children.
