LOSE
OR
LOOSE?
(Matthew 10:39)
“Did you lose something?  Or did you loose it?”

“He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.”

How does one lose their life?  How do they turn it loose?  I really don’t think this can be done until we first find it.
I praise God that I have lived long enough to find my life…and now am able to loose it.
LOOSE OR LOSE?

It’s amazing how we can read a scripture one way for years.  Or, even a word.  Today, the word “lose”…no longer means something that is lost, like a great treasure.  But, something that totally sets us FREE.  We have set it loose…let it go.  Like a belt that is too tight, we loosen it.  No longer feel so squeezed in.  Free.  The belt may still be there…but now, we can breathe.
Fears are all connected with “loss”.  Loss of finances, relationships, a good name, life itself.  Loss of security, self respect, accomplishments, approval, love.

I FOUND MY LIFE

Surely it is in God’s sequence of life for His children, in that the young seek to find their lives.  That is, follow their dreams, work hard to attain those dreams…so that after attaining them, they will, at the appointed time…have something to loose.  How can you loose something, you have never had?  When they have done their best and look back on their life, they will see a lot of good.  They can now loose this good life for something and Someone much higher.
The JOY of loosing is so spiritual and freeing…that surely it is saved for the day when our Lord opens eyes to see…the value of loosing our dreams for His.

SOONER   OR  LATER

Many youth today are seeing this much sooner than our generation did.  I praise God for that.

FORGIVE ME FOR THE
EXTRA “o”

Forgive me for inserting an extra letter to the word “lose”…but it’s like a missing letter (mystery) that provides revelation and understanding of a blessing for God’s children.
You see, I don’t think we ever LOSE the good accomplishments in our lives.  They are who we are in one sense.  They are the difference we made on earth…our history here.
Our Lord says in Matthew 10:41,42 (in my words), He has rewards that we will not LOSE.  Just a few examples here:  Have you received a prophet in the name of a prophet?  If so, you will receive a prophet’s reward.  Have you received a righteous man in the name of a righteous man?  If so, you will receive a righteous man’s reward.
And surely, we have all given many cups of water to little children….
Oh, oh, read the rest of this scripture.  Has it been in the Name of Jesus?  If so, then we will surely not “lose” our reward.  That’s a promise in red letters.

HIS WORD IS ALIVE

“Lose” or “Loose”?  This is why I encourage so many to read God’s Word for themselves.  The more I read it, the more I see…as He is certainly pouring out His wisdom to all at this time…if we will receive.
How many years I read this verse and tried to make it happen in the flesh by works of the flesh.  Never finding the freedom that comes when God, by His Holy Spirit, revealed to me personally the difference between “losing” and “loosing”.
Not by power (man’s), nor by might (man’s), but by the Spirit of our Lord.  He came to set the captives free from dead works and He promises that:
“…he that loses/looses his/her life for My sake…SHALL FIND IT.”

MANY  SERMONS

Yes, there are many sermons that can be taught from this one verse.     But, what has the Holy Spirit shown you today?

LOOSE   NOT  LOST

For me, today is the simple message…that, nothing we’ve done for Him is    ever lost.  He holds our Past – Present – and Future securely in His Hands.  So,       for me today, I choose to “loose” my life and FLY in the FREEDOM of the unencumbered.  Wherever our Lord leads today…Let’s Go!
Free and Loosed
Never Lost.
