TOGETHER FOREVER

SECOND ADAMS AND EVES
[משפחה ]
I never questioned my husband’s loyalty to me. And that was a good time in my life.
Then, one day that changed. I was shocked. I thought we would be together forever. Like parents connected to children…family…”Mishpaha” in Hebrew. [משפחה ].
Yes. “Together forever”, I thought. My first shock was when my parents separated and divorced. I thought they would be together forever… but they weren’t.
From then on I seemed to be on a quest to find out what went wrong. The “lama” question…which means “Why?” in Hebrew, came up over and over again. Like most Christians I went to God’s Word, the Bible, for my answers. The Holy Spirit filtered and shifted the information there and also spoke to my heart…a little at a time.
THE NEW PUZZLE
(Beyond Divorce)
More recently, our Lord has revealed more to me about this tradition called marriage. Only He could have explained well enough to satisfy my hunger to know.
For those who have remained married, God gives you many blessings. Enjoy them! But, for those who have gone THROUGH divorce, I hope to encourage you. God has not forgotten you. Neither is He angry at you. You have not failed!
Remember: With God, there is always “something more”. Please pray about it and see if this pertains to you.
SECOND ADAM
SECOND EVE
Has God sent a new person in your life? Someone who seems to fit even better than your original mate? Have you prayed about this person and believe they are God’s choice for you?
If so, and you receive confirmation that they are…then, more than likely God has sent you His choice of a Second Adam or Second Eve.
OLD TESTAMENT COVENANT
NEW TESTAMENT COVENANT

As I learn more about our Jewish brothers and sisters, I can relate now to how they cling to the Old Testament and have had a hard time accepting the New.
They are so loyal to the original covenant (to God), many cannot perceive that God would send His Son to be their Second Adam.
THE ORGINAL COVENANT
THE LAW
The original covenant (marriage partner) has not passed away. It never will. I think that is one reason we cannot forget our first mate. We see the blessings brought through that first marriage, such as beautiful children, fun times, good memories. But, perhaps we learned even more through the pain and hardships, just as the Children of Israel were led by God through their wilderness.
Could it be, that in your Promised Land, your Second Adam awaits you?
FOR THE JEWS
For the Jews, I do believe their loyalty to our God of the Old Testament is appropriate. Without the Old, there can be no New.
But, God has sent us a NEW and BETTER Covenant. One that sets us FREE to love and be loved in all the Fullness of the original Garden of Eden.
THE PARALLEL
So, I pray for those who have received their new Adams and Eves. They appreciate their first Covenant and all the good it brought about…but are willing to walk in the New and enjoy the Blessings…free from guilt and condemnation which our Messiah makes available.
SELF-TALK

And with all confidence, now akhshav [עכשיו ] that we understand this parallel between the Old and New Testament, we can say to ourselves, “Yes, I love the Old…but I now walk, live, breath, and adore the New. I am a New Covenant man or woman.”
God has sent me my new ish (man) or isha (woman). My Second and better Adam or Eve.
STILL MARRIED?
For those still married on earth, you too, can have your Second Adams and Eves by just looking at each in a New Light. Let God show you how…as you may have the Old Covenant and the New under the same roof.
For those who no longer have an earthly Adam…perhaps theirs have gone on to heaven. And they were too precious to be replaced. God knows. And He draws you dear ones ever closer to Himself to be more than any earthly mate can possibly be.
You have your Second Adam when you have Jesus. Enjoy!
“And so it is written, The First man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.” (I Corinthians 15:45).
SPIRIT AND FLESH

And, Oh the Joy, when the Spirit and Flesh become One.
PROOF OF OLD VERSUS NEW:
Hebrews, Chapter 8, God explains the New and Better Covenant and how it supersedes the Old.
7) For if the First Covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the Second.
13) In that He saith, A NEW COVENANT, He hath made the First Old.
A PERSONAL WORD
As the Bible is alive and speaks personally to those expecting to receive their Second Adam or Eve, I pray you can receive this verse freely for yourself…and BELIEVE God means what He says in His Word and in your heart.
He says in Hebrews 8:13b…NOW (akhshave) that which decayeth and waxeth old (your first marriage?) is READY to vanish away.”
In other words, we can love the old, but receive and walk freely in the New.
Hebrews 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope [did]; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
