A  TASTE  OF  FREEDOM
Children of Promise
(Galatians 4:8-31)

(Xala Bread)

In Galatians Paul was disturbed about those he had taught the message of Grace.  It appeared that they were vacillating between Grace and the Law.
Once having tasted Grace, Paul was perplexed that they would continue to slip back into the law.  So, he once again attempted to renew their minds to the Freedom that comes by Grace.
Paul used the allegory (verse 24) of Hagar and Sarah.  In verses 21-31, he reminds us that Abraham has 2 sons.  Ishmael born to Hagar (a slave woman) shared her social status of slavery to the law with her son.
Isaac’s birth was the result of a divine promise, contrary to nature as he was conceived in Abraham’s and Sarah’s old age.  He was born to the Free Woman, therfore to share her same social status of Freedom from the law.
Paul goes on to explain that even the Heavenly Jerusalem (verse 26) which is above, is FREE, and represents the mother of us all…a type of Sarah, the Free woman, with the status of Freedom.
Those who sincerely receive Christ as their Lord, understand now,  that their lineage is equal to that of Isaac.  They have been born free.  [There is more to this than meets the eye of the un-learned.]
But, for us in this present state, let’s be reminded that after we came to Jesus through Grace, we received our second-birth, and experienced that TASTE of FREEDOM that only His Grace can provide…to the Children of Promise (Grace) and not of the law.
I pray for revelation knowledge to those who read this writing.  If seen and understood only in the eyes of natural man (Ishmael)…this Taste of Freedom may taste bitter, rather than sweet…as our Lord so desires.

GALATIANS

Please read and examine the scriptures for yourself.  Allow His Living Word to touch the Isaac in you.  Communicate with our Lord who came to set all captives FREE.
          28)  “Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the Children of Promise.
          31)  “So then, brethren, we are NOT children of the bond woman, but of the FREE.”

SPIRITUAL  TASTE

Today I felt I received in my spirit a very minute taste of the freedom explained in these scriptures.  But, it is so sweet that I will savor it all day as I continually confess today:  I am a Child of Promise (like Isaac).  I understand now, that means I am under the New Covenant of Freedom from the Law…by the Grace of God.  No longer walking, talking, thinking, acting like a child of Hagar.  I am FREE.
Let’s Practice
Acting Like It.

Remember:  Abraham had two sons.
The word “son” in Hebrew is:
“ben” or בך
I exhort you to follow the trail of each and decide which one you prefer.  I choose to be :
