“Faith That Works”

          “What’s in it for me?” is a very wise question.  It’s not selfish at all, as some might suspect.
          When our Lord places a dream in your heart, don’t always expect it to be religious.  Do understand that He wants it to come to pass as much as you do.
          You are not trying to sell Him on the dream or make a deal with Him.  You are not trying to persuade Him to get on board with you.  He is already there…waiting for you to ACT.
          “Faith without works is dead.”, my grandson reminded me.  And of course we understand that “work without faith” is also useless.
          Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.  (James 2:17-18)
          As we are each constantly at work on one deal or another…as it works on earth, the same principal applies to Heaven.  When we partner with our Lord…we must always be ready to answer His question:

“WHAT’S  IN  IT  FOR  ME?”

          He knows what’s in it for us.  But He delights to hear our thoughts about…. “What’s in it for Him?”  This is wisdom.  This is fair.  This is balance.
          It is not a one-way deal…although He is certainly The:

INVESTOR
