THE SCARLET THREAD
The words “the scarlet thread” have been wrapped around my head for several weeks now. It has different meanings to different people according to where they have traveled in life and in God’s Word. Even, according to their present circumstances today.
Although I have not come to final conclusions, I have the desire to capture what I am already seeing.
MY FIRST INTRIGUE
The Second Set of Twins
(Genesis 38)
We all know the story of Jacob and Esau, the twins born to Isaac and Rebekah. I had heard the story of Tamar but never noticed that she gave birth to twins. Nor, had I noticed the “scarlet thread” her midwife bound upon the hand of one of the twins. (Genesis 38:28.) This is a most intriguing episode in the history of the tribes of Israel.
The names of the twins are Pharez and Zarah. Do you know which one was chosen to be in the lineage of Jesus?
MADONNA

This is strictly my personal opinion and although I pray for the singer Madonna I felt a great sadness when I read that she had gone to Israel to perform and that the people seem to admire her so much. While reading an article about her visit I came across her religion which I was not familiar with. Now, I know…it is called Kabala. You can look it up on the internet for yourself.
TEL AVIV, Israel - Israel was abuzz with excitement Wednesday over the arrival of Madonna, its biggest celebrity visitor in years.
The pop star came to the Holy Land on a spiritual quest, including visits to the graves of revered rabbinical sages. Yet some were perplexed by the raunchy diva’s interest in the esoteric Jewish mysticism called cabala or Kabbalah, and rabbis said she had no business studying holy texts.
Raised a Roman Catholic, Madonna has adopted the Hebrew name Esther, wears a red thread on her wrist to ward off the evil eye and reportedly refuses to perform on the Jewish Sabbath. The Red String protects from the influences of the Evil Eye. In historic tradition, the Evil Eye is a very powerful negative force. It refers to the unfriendly stare and unkind glances we sometimes get from people around us.
According to Kabbalah, the critical need to confront the problem of negative influences cannot be underestimated. Kabbalah teaches us that we can remove intrusive negative influences by using tools such as the Red String!
Madonna is among the many celebrities who wear Kabalah bracelets to ward off evil and for their belief in Jewish mysticism- Qabalah. The string bracelet is now popular among their fans as well.
Well, enough of that. I had never heard of Kabbalahism until I began taking Hebrew on Line to learn the language. Then I became interested in the people…the REAL people of Israel as I was studying the Lost Tribes of Israel and praying for the Peace of Jerusalem. Up pops Madonna and I think she really needs our prayers because I don’t think she knows what she is dealing with.
We do not need to spend time studying even what Kabbalah is. There are obviously many Danger Signs to warn us that it is not of God. But the RED STRING did get out attention.
TWO STRINGS
There seems to be a pattern for us to trace.
Where am I going with this? I think we are beginning to see that there are 2 red threads/strings very apparent as we trace the scattering of the 12 tribes of Judah. From the very beginning there has always been the good and the evil…beginning with Cain and Able. If we know what is good and right in the eyes of God, we automatically know what is not. Therefore, at this point I continue to follow the Red Thread of the Blood line of Christ as it interweaves in and out of some good and some not so good people.
