CAN YE NOT DISCERN
THE
SIGNS OF THE TIMES?
(Matthew 16:3)

A heavy cloud of darkness pressed down on me so heavy yesterday that I felt I would surely be crushed by the weight of it all. The whole world seemed to be groaning as though it would soon split apart from the burden of sin pressing down on it from every angle. I felt I was in the middle of all the pressing.
It wasn’t until this morning when our dear Lord shed the Light of His Word like a “Flood light” on what was pressing me down, that I understood.
As Paul expressed it so well in 2 Corinthians l:8, “…we were Pressed out of measure, above strengths, insomuch that we despaired even of life.”
Perhaps many of you have felt this same pressure our present world labels as “depression” or sometimes even “high blood pressure” or “hyper- tension.”
The answers we seek can always be found in God’s Word; often confirmed in our spirits by the Holy Spirit as we spend time fellowshipping with Him in prayer.
THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES

You and your spirit are discerning the Signs of the Times. Perhaps you don’t want to see the signs, but they are there and they disturb you. You see sin running rampant in the world and even strife in the Body of Christ. These things are out of order and should not be…but they are. It is a Sign of the Times.
WHAT SHALL WE DO?
(Luke 3:9-15)
I was drawn by the Spirit to Luke 3 where John was expounding on the Word of God. When he told them that the ‘axe had been laid to the root of the trees’ (verse 9), the people began to ask, “What shall we do then?” (3:10), as verse 15 describes, “the people were in expectation and all mused in their hearts….”
Verse 10, the people asked, “What shall we do, then?”
Verse 12, the publicans asked, “Master, what shall we do?”
Verse 14, the soldiers demanded of him, “And what shall we do?”
So, you can see, this is not a new question. I believe we all ask the same today.
FOR DISCERNERS
OF
THE TIMES
For Discerners of the Times, I believe our simple message for today is to do what John did and said.
PREPARE YE THE WAY OF THE LORD
MAKE HIS PATHS STRAIGHT
(Luke 3:4)
Whether in prayer or action, that we take authority over any darkness we discern; that we dispel lies with the Truth of God’s Word. That we remain aware of the Signs of the Times according to His Word and have no fear. Romans 8:19-23 tells us that the whole creation groans…but we are delivered into glorious liberty.
WHAT ELSE
CAN WE DO?
We can REJOICE…for the redemption of our Lord draws nigh.
Yes, we are living in difficult times. We can certainly discern that. But, it will not last forever. Our Lord is coming soon. And we each have an assignment to be carried out in different ways, different places, using different gifts.
It is to do our part in making the crooked paths straight and the rough ways as smooth as possible so that many may come to our Lord in the simplicity of: LOVE and TRUTH.
MAY I ENCOURAGE YOU?
Instead of allowing Satan to Press us out of measure…that we all PRESS FORWARD to this high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14). No assignment is too small or too great as long as we know it is personally ours. He will always show us where to go and what to do individually as He blesses His children with abundant revelation and
Discernment of the Times.
PREPARE YE THE WAY OF THE LORD
MAKE HIS PATHS STRAIGHT
TRUTH
LOVE
[Not to focus attention on myself but just to give an example. Many of you know how much time I spend hearing these messages, writing them, and passing them on to people I know, with the hope that this Fresh Bread may in some way, make His paths smoother for others. This is what I do. Each of us do something different. You all bless me in many different ways. You make my path smoother through your love and prayers. Sincerely, Gwen]
