Fresh Bread # 137

THE  BATTLE

The battle is the Lord’s; the Victory is ours.

Last night I had a strong wrestling match going on in my sleep.  I shook myself awake at 2:00 am.  Great darkness had descended upon me as I struggled to be free.  It felt like the devil was using God’s word against me.
I have not had these struggles in a long time.  But, from past experience, I have collected some weapons that work in spiritual warfare.
First, I turned on a light.  Satan can’t stand the light.
Then, I turned on my Praise Music.  He can’t stay around that either, when we are praising God.
Other weapons of great significance are:  Calling out the name of Jesus, reading His Word, and praying in tongues.

I  SAW  2  PICTURES
During this Battle

One…looked like slats in a wooden fence.  Some of the slats were laying down, leaving an opening in our wall of defense.  I knew those slats must be encouraged to stand up and be united.
Two…I saw swords drawn collectively like a porcupine effect, coming from the same source…like a ball or globe.  I knew they were Swords of the Spirit and Word.  (S/word).  And they meant for us to be prepared for war.

FIGHT  THE  GOOD  FIGHT OF
FAITH
(I Timothy 6:12)

Many are losing faith and blaming God for not answering their requests the way they tell Him to answer them.  They treat Him as though He is their servant instead of them being His.  They are impatient children who trust their own minds above the WISDOM of an All-Knowing and All-Loving Father/God.

I  SENSED  A  VACUUM

I sensed a vacuum among some of the children of God, including myself.  That’s why I asked the Father what it could be.  And, I believe our dear Holy Spirit is revealing to me that it is an Absence of Faith…that we must draw our S/words…and be ready to FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH.
(Satan is trying to steal our faith…and…accuse God.  We must not let him.)

EACH  SWORD

Each of us have a sword and each must sharpen his/her sword daily.  “Faith” must be stirred up because it grows as it is stirred and put to use.  Romans 10:17  “Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.”

WALK-ABOUTS

I Timothy 6:12………..the Good Fight of Faith.
Hebrews 10:32………..Fight of Affliction
Hebrews  11:34……….Valiant in Fight…

STUDY  BIBLE DESCRIPTION OF
FIGHT OF FAITH

My study Bible describes the good fight of faith as:  The daily struggle in the Christian life; and the hardships and adversities in the ministry.  A genuine believer demonstrates the reality of his/her Faith by being engaged in this warfare.

UNIFORMS

We dare not engage in this warfare when our swords are dull.  Help us, Lord, to keep them sharp and Powerful (strong) in Faith.  Increase our Faith, Father, so that we are worthy opponents to the enemy in this battle.
I think now of how proud young men and women are when they first sign up for the army.  They look handsome, clean, and regal in their new uniforms.  But, It’s not until they hit the dirt and grime of life and death experiences, that they understand what it means to be a soldier.  This is true in the Spirit realm as well.

FAITH  TANK

When I notice that my “Faith Tank” is running low; only on fumes…I praise God for sending me to the Great Faith Chapter (Hebrews 11) for a refill.

AND I’M
READY TO GO
