Fresh Bread # 127

SCARS  DON’T  HURT

When things happen to us and it looks like the pain will never go away, we might find ourselves praying, “Father, would You please turn my open wounds into scars?  Scars don’t hurt, Father…but are only reminders of battles overcome by Your Blood.  They represent Your healing in our mortal bodies and souls.
As I look down now at my hands, and with the thumb of the opposite hand, rub my palm, I can almost feel a scar there.
It’s not a natural scar because the scar I refer to is in my heart…as I wait for new flesh to grow over that open wound.  Layer upon layer, until the sun begins to shine on it, sealing it, and making it a solid covering of the hole that invaded my soul.

IN THE NATURAL

In the natural, we see how God provides for our bodies to produce new flesh and seal old wounds.  The same is true in the spirit.  “He restores our souls.”  (Psalms 23:3).
Some wounds take longer to heal than others.  A minor scratch on our arm may only take a day or two to form a scab.  We hardly notice it because it is so superficial and on the surface.  We have seen this healing many times and are not surprised to see this take place
But wounds that go down deep and pierce our soul, are not as apparent as we go through the process of healing.  The deeper the wound, the greater the pain, and since they are on the inside, we cannot SEE them healing.
Our outer skin is much tougher than the inner and must be kept soft for our organs to live.  The outer wounds need LIGHT (sunshine) to help them crust over and heal.  Our inner man, when wounded must also have the Light of Jesus to shine Truth on the cause and cure for our inner wounds.
We must come to Him…to heal these inner wounds.  We must ASK Him to shine His Healing Light of Love and Wisdom to help dry up these seeping wounds inside of us that remain tender until touched by the Master’s Hand.  Until the day we can receive His Scars as our own.
When we remember that He has borne our grief and carried our sorrows; remember that He was wounded for our transgressions.  And often, we are wounded because of the transgressions of others.  Not only our own transgressions but the transgressions of the ones who have pierced our hearts and caused our pain.  Jesus was wounded for all of us.  (Isaiah 53:3-7 and all of Isaiah 53).

HOW DOES HE
HEAL
OUR SOUL?

God is healing many souls today through Revelations of what Christ has already done for us.  Isaiah 53:10 says that it pleased God to bruise Jesus and put Him to Grief.
Why?  Because God loved us so much and knew we would be bruised and suffer grief unbearable unless we understood what Jesus provided for us at the Cross.
It’s through our own wounds, bruises, and grief that we can understand our Savior better.  When we are able to receive by Faith (not by sight) what Christ has done for us…can the scabs cover our inner wounds.

ACTION

Faith is action.  To experience the healing in our souls, we must begin to confess out loud by the conviction we have received in our spirits…that Jesus has “Poured out HIS SOUL unto death” (Isaiah 53:12).  And, “made His Soul an offering for our sin.”  (verse 10).  And the sin of the world…those who have wounded us as well as our sins that wounded them and Him.
And by His Stripes…we understand that He made provision for even our SOULS.  (verse 5b).
As He bore our sins and made intercession with the Father for those who pierced His side (the transgressors) and drove nails into His hands, let’s try something that can help us remember.

LOOK  AT  YOUR  HANDS
Palms Up

Now, as you look at your palms and press in on them with your opposite thumb, consider the nail holes that not only pierced the outer layer of Jesus’ body, but also wounded His Soul.

REJOICE

Rejoice, for Jesus died for us ONCE for all.  Now He sits beside the Father in Heaven, and His hands bear only the SCARS of the nails…not open wounds.  Because when He poured out His Soul unto death (verse 12) for us, He said:  “It is Finished.”
It doesn’t take faith to see the natural outside scars on our body, but it does take faith to receive the healing on the inside.  And our Lord said, “The just (those justified by receiving Him) shall Live by Faith.

CHERISH THE SCARS

Now, each time you ask our Living God to change your grief and inner wounds into simple scars like His…look at the palms of your hands, press in on them; think about His Scars and your own.  Thank Him for your scars that are now only reminders of past wounds…lessons learned…and tools to help others.

AMAZEMENT

The more you look at your palms and press into them with your thumb…thinking about Your desire to see your wounds changed to scars…Lo and Behold….

Even the scar is gone.  Praise God.  He did it ALL. Now you are Free!

A  WEAPON

The devil does not like where we have traveled today.  It’s his job to try and make us lose faith.  He may tempt us later to open those wounds that God has sealed for us today.

POINT  OF  CONTACT

Now, our Lord has given us a Point of Contact.  We have two hands and two thumbs.  And only those who have received this message will know what we mean.
When the devil comes to attack your soul (mind, will, emotions) just turn your palms up to him.  Rub the center of each in his face as a message of a Powerful Confession of TRUTH.
I plan to say these words taken from God’s Holy Bible:  “Jesus has poured out His Soul unto death for me…so that my Soul is Healed.  He made His Soul an offering for me and I Receive His Offering.”  (Isaiah 53:12,10).

He has restored my soul,
For
His Name’s Sake!

NOTE:

SCARS can be formed by hard heartedness (ways of the world) but these scars only cover lies that need to be exposed.  When our Lord does the healing His Way, even our scars will vanish as they are replaced by the healing balm of His LOVE for us.

We Give Our Scars to Your Service Lord
And
Thank You for Yours
