ACT ON THE WORD
(Matthew 6:44)
TAKE ACTION
One act of love and
kindness can change a person’s life forever.
If we lived our whole
life and only performed one act of pure, unselfish LOVE…we would not have lived
our life in vain.
ONE ACT OF LOVE
Of course we know
Jesus demonstrated the Greatest Act of Love when He went to the Cross for us.
Like a Bright Light that shines through eternity, we can’t forget that ACT OF
LOVE. That one ACT made His life on earth worth it all.
This was pure,
unselfish love. He was more concerned for sinners than Himself.
WHAT ACT CAN WE DO, LORD?
When we enter in
prayer, see so many hurting, and we want to help but don’t know how, we may
feel overwhelmed.
SIMPLIFY
CHOOSE ONE ACT TODAY
If this were to be
the only light you left on earth representing an act of kindness…what would it
be TODAY? Just One ACT.
MATTHEW 5:44
But I say
unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that
hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; (Matthew
5:44.)
If you have learned
that God’s way works, and the ways of the world are useless, you can become
excited about the possibilities of this verse.
The world says you
should hate your enemy, but God’s ways are as different from the world as night
from day. Wisdom shines the Light on God’s ways. And God says we are to LOVE
our ENEMIES.
LOVE - DO - PRAY
(Matthew 6:44)
When you feel
confused by the world’s standards compared to God’s, and you have a need to “do
something”, but you don’t know what to do, may I suggest you choose one or more
of these directions (commandments) of Jesus. And ACT on it.
Jesus says:
l. LOVE your ENEMIES.
2. BLESS them that persecute
you.
3. DO GOOD to them that hate
you.
4. PRAY for them which
despitefully use you and persecute you.
IF WE ARE
SERIOUS
 
If we are serious
about desiring some action in our lives; desiring to see good results, by faith
we can create a new life style of Action. If we are serious, our first step
will require us to admit who we see as our enemy, whether they know it or not.
LIKE FORGIVENESS
This direction is a
lot like forgiveness. You are God’s favored child and this will bless you much
more than it will your so-called enemy.
If someone has hurt
you or rejected you, they may not be aware of it, but they have caused you
pain. So, to get over your pain, you not only “say” you forgive them, but
now…you can find a way to ACT on it.
DON’T STOP HERE
 
Ask God to show you
one person in your life today who has let you down in some way or seems to
deliberately try to hurt you. Only you and God know who that is. Keep it
Simple. Just choosing one today. Then prepare to ACT, not as the
religious Pharisees, but from a Pure desire to ACT on God’s Word. Just one
person today.
You might ask
yourself these questions: l.) Is my motive pure? 2.) How can I bless this
person by an ACTION? 3.) What can I do today for them that they can see? 4.)
How shall I pray for them?
REMEMBER THE VEIL
If you can’t think
of a way to pray for them, you can always pray that God will lift the veil from
their eyes and yours.
It’s far greater
challenge to bless an enemy than a friend. It’s easy to bless a friend. I
believe we will find this so refreshing that we will be seeking out another
enemy tomorrow…to LOVE.
