♫JUST LIKE OUR JESUS♫
“Just Like My
Jesus”, is a happy chorus I heard somewhere. It is playing through my mind
this morning.
Yes, He is our
Example. He is our Hero. He is the One we desire to be like.
Even when things
don’t seem to go right for us and it may look to the world like we are
failures, we can still find JOY when we see an example of our lives in God’s
Word. Then we can say, “Un huh! There I am…just like my Jesus.”
There is no one we
had rather be like. So, whether in JOY or sorrow, when we see our lives
parallel with His, we find comfort and fulfillment in our spirits.
THE GOOD SERVANT
(Mark 12:1-12)
Oh, there are so
many lessons for us to learn from this parable of the wicked husbandman.
If you can see
yourself in Mark 12:4, as a good servant sent by God, you’ll understand that
you are a lot like your Jesus in verse 6. And it makes life worth it all, just
to be at least a little like your Jesus.
“And again, He
sent unto them another servant. [Perhaps this has been you]; and at him they
cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.”

How can we receive
such treatment and still remain in JOY and desire to be like our Jesus? It’s
more than knowing that in the natural our Lord Reigns and will show His Victory
some day over all the unbelief in the world.
It’s more than
that. It’s His LOVE in us that causes us to love Him and desire to serve Him
no matter what! It’s His LOVE, who first loved us when no one else did…that
causes us to want to be:
