PROTECT  THE  ANNOINTING

          This is not the original word our Lord gave me this morning, but He has the right to sift through the messages He gives us and bring to the forefront one that He chooses.
          When we speak of 100 fold return, I can’t help but notice that I am receiving more than 100 fold return on the investment I have made in writing.  He has opened the widows of Heaven for me in this area and I certainly have ‘More than Enough’ to meet all my needs and then some.  This is definitely an example of PROSPERITY.  I praise God for it and receive joyfully.  I delight to do His will.
          My need of course, is to send forth His Word through writing.   When we have ‘more than enough’, our next step is to allow God to show us where and how to use it. 
          When we have too much to share, we may often need to throw up our hands to God and say, “Okay, Lord.  You be the Judge.  Wherever You lead me today…that is where I will go joyfully; trusting that whatever my hands find to do, will be your choice and we will be in the joy of agreement.  I do, so delight to do Your will.

FROM THE DEPTHS
TO
THE PRACTICAL

          You may imagine my surprise this morning as I sat before my computer…and heard the words:  “Protect the Anointing.” 
          Okay, Lord.  I understand.  Surely someone else needs to hear this today also. 

AN  EXAMPLE

          As I meandered into the kitchen where my email friends greet me each morning after, and sometimes during, prayer, I know their messages can be a distraction from where our Lord is leading me that day.  However, I do like to “check in” just in case there is an emergency prayer request.
          The anointing is when we have been in the presence of the Lord through reading His Word and hearing His revelations and directions.  It is a time of walking in the Spirit, rather than in the world. 
          Often, I have thanked Him for bringing me back to earth by a phone call from a friend.  It has been His way of telling me to “get to work.”  But if no one calls and I want to retain the things He has given me by His Spirit, I do not turn on the television or anything that will distract me from the path He is leading me on at that time.  When it is His time for me to walk more in the natural, He will provide a peaceful form of translation.  It usually comes after, I have delivered the message He wants me to send. 

MEMORIES

          I remember hearing stories of preachers who would not be disturbed before they went out from a secluded room to the pulpit to preach to the congregation.  They were protecting the anointing.  This is an example of what I am sharing with you.
          As God asks each of us to protect the anointing of His presence, I pray and believe that you understand what I am saying here.  It’s a way of you saying, “I don’t want to be interrupted from hearing from God.” 
          So, when you have a message to deliver, you want to be sure it is from God and not yourself.  The anointing protects His Word coming through you.  Praise God.

RELEASE OF THE ANOINTING

          I read what Kenneth Hagin said in one of his early books.  As he was describing the anointing, he said he knew he could not remain in it for too long or he would evaporate or die from the power of it.  I know that sounds strange but you may have experienced this same power from time to time.
          God knows, that as humans, neither can we walk in this constantly with that kind of power flowing through us.  So He provides a way to release this power…kind of like air out of a balloon…only gradually and peacefully. We RELEASE the ANOINTING by sharing it with someone else.  Whether to a large crowd, or just to one person…where ever we think the Lord is leading us.
          Once we have released His Word to bless, encourage, exhort, comfort, or teach someone else about Him, we find our feet coming to earth again and are able to walk in our earth shoes for the rest of the day; doing good deeds in the natural for those who have yet to understand the awesomeness of God’s Anointing and special Love relationship with His children.

WHEW-eee

          Whew!  I just did what I felt the Lord wanted me to do.  Now, as I put on my “earth shoes”, I would greatly appreciate someone confirming that they know what I am talking about and have experienced the anointing themselves and may have needed the reminder to “Protect It.”
