Ears To Hear # 92
THE FACE OF GOD
(Psalms
27:8)
When thou
said, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee,
Thy
face, LORD, will I seek.
At
the high point of my worship this morning, I was saying to God. “Oh Lord, I love you so
much. I feel Your presence strong, but I can’t quite see Your Face.”
I
heard in my spirit, “My face is on the face of My children. Just as Jesus said, ‘if
you have seen Me, you have seen the Father.” (John 14:7).
Many
things vied (strived for first place) in my heart this morning. My constant desire is to share
the Freshest with you…the best I have to offer. I wanted to continue the message on “Touch”. God
gave me more than enough to share with many, but a new word today is so very helpful, I want to share
it first.
THE
WAY TO THE FATHER
Have
you ever considered that you can understand your mate better when you see their characteristics appearing
in your children? Lately, in my spirit, I heard our Father saying, “The way to the father
is through the son.” This is definitely True as we connect with our Heavenly Father. Jesus
said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by
me.” (John 14:6). “I and [my] Father are one.” (John 10:30).
WALKING IN LOVE
(The
Love of God on a father’s Face)
Yesterday,
I saw the Love of God on the Face of a young father for his son. Now, I want to look for the Father’s
Face in all of His children. I want to ask myself, “What do you see of God in each person
who crosses your path? Their face is like His. What do you see of the Father in them?”
TO
GOD BE THE GLORY
Chuy
and Delia are praising our Father today; giving Him all the Glory for a shocking experience that happened
to them 2 days ago. I know they won’t mind me sharing their testimony because it is such
an example of the Father’s care and answer to prayers prayed ahead of time. This is a recent
picture of their son John.

I
wish I had a picture of Delia to share with you, but perhaps you can picture her in your heart, as
she prays every morning for the safety of her family. Her children are constantly covered in prayer. She
had no idea what would happen to her son. But, God knew, and His angels were definitely on assignment. Delia
prayed ahead.

This
is Chuy, John’s father the day after the incident. Can you see the Father’s face on
his son Chuy’s face?
Chuy
came to help me mow and trim the beautiful land God gave me. Yes, he and Betsy, my new lawnmower,
work very well together. God had just saved Chuy and Delia’s son John from a terrible accident.
As
Chuy described many things to me about what happened, I saw God’s love in his face for his son
and family.
A PART
OF THE STORY
I
can only tell you a part of the story because only God knows all that happened. Two days ago John
was coming home from work in the small but dangerous mountains of the hill country. As the road
leveled out and he neared his home in Sabinal, something happened.
From
what we know, John fell asleep at the wheel. His truck ran into a utility pole and live wires
fell across the truck. His mother had mentioned how she often saved money for her children by,
lowering her car windows on the way home from work instead of using the air conditioning. So,
John decided to do the same. That lowered window was a part of the plan to save his life.
Although
his father had taught him ahead of time to never touch the metal of a car that had a live wire on it,
John crawled out the window, and was not burned.
John
was not hurt at all, but as he and some Christian people who stopped to help him, watched; the truck
went up in smoke. If John had been in the truck, we would have lost him for the time being. But,
praise God, surely the angels got him out…and God answered the parent’s prayers.
There
were many other interesting occurrences connected to this event, but what I want to share, is the love
of a father for a son. And how I could see our Father’s face on Chuy as he told the story
of our Heavenly Father’s love and protection for His sons and daughters.
GOD’S FACE
On
the Face
Of
Chuy
I
have seen other signs of sonship in Chuy and saw more yesterday as we shared about our Heavenly Father.
The
things I admire most about Chuy are the things that remind me of his Heavenly Father: ways that
he is like his Father. These are the things I see:
Chuy
keeps his word. He is an excellent worker and talented in many areas. He does miraculous
things to my yard and makes a quick work of it. He
is always polite and gracious. Seems
to have a constant smile on his face. Knows everything about how to care for a lawnmower, and
many other things. Not only does he know, but he uses his wisdom to bless many others.
Chuy
is president of the school board, is also in a management position at work and desires to be fair and
honest in all his dealings with others. A football player in high school, he now enjoys referring
sports. He learns so much about God in each of his talents.
Chuy
loves his wife and family very much. Today, I saw his tender heart…just like our Father’s,
as he considered how close he came to losing his older son. Surely, he experienced more of the
Father’s Love for Jesus and could relate to his Heavenly Father in a way, he had not done before. Like
Father…like Son, is what
we all desire to be.
So,
as I desire to love people more and understand them better, I chose this week to walk in the presence
of others…seeing what they have in common with our Heavenly Father. Not, to dwell on what
they don’t have in common with Him, but what they do.
I
will look for My Father’s Face on the Face of His Children and mine. And all those
who cross my path. As we are all made in His image, I believe I will see something of
the Father in each of His children today. I’ll see the likeness of my
Father’s Face.

If ye had
known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know
him, and have
seen him. (John 14:7).
