BEWARE OF BURNT BREAD
“OVER-KILL”

Over-cooked _ Over-done _ Over-kill
Don’t Let the Devil Burn Your Bread

         As I passed through my den on the way to the bedroom yesterday, a preacher on television caught my attention. He too, was preaching the good news of God’s abundant prosperity available to all His children. 
         Although I respect this man, what he was saying today, or how he said it, agitated me. I felt the word “over-kill” rise up in my spirit. It almost turned me away from God’s message that is meant to bless so many today.
         Then each evangelist I heard was preaching the same message. My mind, being somewhat skeptical, I felt like asking: “What is this? Is this some kind of conspiracy? Have the evangelists ganged up on us?”

CHECK THE BREAD

         If we have been reading God’s Word, the Bread of Life, we know for ourselves what His Word says. And, should the enemy Satan, try to make God’s Word appear cheap, then we must cling to the Truth we know and have learned through God’s Word and time alone with Him.

YES, I RECOGNIZED THE CONSPIRACY
“INSIDIOUS”

         Yes, I recognized the conspiracy, but it wasn’t coming from the men and women preaching God’s Word and Will.
         “How do I describe this, Lord?” I asked.
         The word came to me: “insidious.” I didn’t know what it meant, but it was the word I was seeking to share and describe what I saw.
         When I looked it up in the dictionary, it said: l.) ambush, 2.) awaiting a chance to entrap, 3.) developing so gradually as to be well established before becoming apparent.
         Yes, there is a “conspiracy” on the part of Satan…to rob God’s children of their inheritance. It is not a “conspiracy” by the men and women of God to steal our money…as many will think.

FINE FINE LINE

         Yes, there is a very fine line between fantasy and faith for those who do not know God’s Word. I’m not saying I am a Bible Scholar and that I know all there is to know in God’s Word, because I certainly don’t. But, Praise God, I know Jesus…Thee Word.
         And I see all the more, the importance of God’s children reading His Word daily.  As they develop a closeness with Him, His Word becomes a protective force inside of them, so they are not deceived by the subtle devices of the devil.

$$$ BALANCE THE BUDGET $$$

   

         When we hear something stressed too much, we become suspicious. We call it “Overkill” or “Burnt Toast.”  Let’s not kill the messengers. Rather, let’s balance our budgets by going back to God’s Word for ourselves.

BEFORE WE REJECT THE GIFT

         “Finances” is just one way our Lord pours out His blessings on His children. But, NO gift from God is without relevance to His desire to prosper His children. So, before we reject His Gift of Financial Abundance, let’s think about:

         l. Our children and their financial needs.
         2. Our neighbors who need help.
         3. Missionaries we desire to help.
         4. The promoting of God’s Word.
         5. Our personal desire to be givers like our Heavenly Father.

TODAY’S MESSENGERS

         There are many preachers, teachers, evangelists, and prophets today that our Lord uses to speak His Words. How very thoughtful of our Lord that He provides special ones to meet our special needs. I’m sure you have noticed that there are some preachers you do not enjoy listening to, although you see nothing wrong with them. Then there are others who seem to say exactly what you need. God is thinking of you when He puts the right teacher in your path. How Kind of Him!
         We certainly know better than to worship the messenger God is sending today.   Just as we know it is not God’s Will for us to worship money. But, if you have read about the life of the prophets, you know it was not easy for them then, nor is it now. It takes great faith in God and His Word for these men and women to speak out a message from God. They need our prayers for many reasons.
         If they are false prophets, God will handle that. If they are true…the Holy Spirit will bear witness with your spirit that God has much more good planned for us than we can imagine. That He desires for us to Prosper in ALL things. “No good thing will he without from those who walk uprightly.” (Psalms 84:11).
         This “financial gift” has been left out of our belief system. It is only one of the many gifts our Lord provides. But He does not wish that even one of His gifts be stolen by the enemy through our lack of knowledge or un-belief.

LOVE GIFTS

         Every gift we receive from our Father is a Love Gift. If it is not given and received in Love…it is not of the Father.
         I do not want to hurt His feelings by rejecting even one gift our Father offers. Please receive them ALL…because that is our Father’s Will.
         Don’t let Satan deceive you by “Over-kill” or “Burnt Toast.”
         Keep the Bread Fresh. Rejoice! Praise God for ALL things.

CAMPING OUT

         If you are tired of “camping out” on this financial blessing, and you are beginning to feel like burnt toast…may I suggest that you simply:
Receive: His Gift of Financial Abundance
Say: “Thank You.”
         And move on to understand how God is your TOTAL SOURCE for ALL THINGS.

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”
(James 1:17).

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” (3 John 1:2).

    THE FRESHEST BREAD YOU WILL EVER ENJOY, IS THE BREAD OUR LORD HELPS YOU BAKE FOR YOURSELF EACH MORNING. STAY BLESSED AS YOU PROSPER IN ALL THINGS.
