TRUST IN GOD…NOT WEALTH

Good morning dear friends. If you have been reading the Angel Food or “Ears to Hear” on a regular basis, you know my heart and intentions.
For those of you who may think I have fallen into a ditch, I accept your prayers. For those who rejoice with me, I thank you for understanding my limits.

PSALMS 49
TRUST IN GOD…NOT WEALTH

         Yesterday, I set 12 cups before you as an example of the different areas in our lives that God fills for us on a regular basis. I hope you understand that it was a type of parable.
         In case anyone thinks I am encouraging them to TRUST IN WEALTH as their Source, let me make it clear. Please read all of Psalms 49 and meditate on it.
         We are to trust in no man or any thing: Only God. God is our Only Source. He is the One who gives us power to get wealth. “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for [it is] HE that gives thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as [it is] this day.” (Deuteronomy 8:18).
          We are never to worship the gift…only the Giver.

IS
THE KEY WORD

         “TRUST” is the key word in verses 6-8. If we had all the money in the world, we could not pay for someone’s salvation; not even our own.
         Great financial wealth can become a dangerous trap for a person who does not put his/her trust in God. One who does not know the true Source of all their needs and blessings.
         A wise man or woman, will put money to use for God instead of allowing money, or lack of money, to use and abuse them.
         “Receiving” financial abundance from God, by agreeing that it is God’s will for us to prosper in ALL things, is a Great Adventure. It is an Adventure in Faith.
         Many may reject this gift because they are afraid it will change their life style. They are afraid they may become proud as they have read in Proverbs 30:8-9. “Lest I become full and deny Thee….” Or Psalms 62:10b, “…if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.”
         Fear is not of God. He has only good planned for ALL of us.
         “The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whosoever puts his TRUST in the Lord, shall be safe.” (Proverbs 29:25). That’s a promise!
         So we: “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; (I Timothy 6:17-18).

ALL

“Beloved, I wish above ALL things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” (3 John 2).
“Above all things” is better translated “in all respects.” [Taken from my Study Bible]

KEY WORD…“ALL”

         The reason I believe our Lord is leading me to discuss finances at this time is that He desires us to prosper in ALL areas of our lives.
         Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father. He gives only good gifts to His children.
         If they do not see financial wealth as a gift from Him, and understand that it is His will to give to them, how can they submit to His will…and agree to receive?

IT IS THE LAST DAYS

It is the last days and our Father is pouring out in abundance. Not only spiritual gifts, but also natural gifts. Who will receive ALL He has to give?
Will we only pick and choose a few? Or will we accept ALL?

BY FAITH

         I pray that, by Faith in God, we commit aloud to Him today, to receive ALL He is offering us.
         I pray, that TODAY, by Faith, we see all our cups FULL to overflowing.
         As we walk by Faith and not by sight, our JOY overflows with a better understanding of God’s Great Provision for ALL of His children.

He didn’t withhold one good gift from any one of us.
If we can Believe.
REMEMBER

“Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” (Romans 10:17). I encourage you to Read and Speak God’s Word Daily to stir up your faith to receive ALL God offers you; even financial prosperity. Prosperity meaning: All you need and enough left over to help others. I pray, that by FAITH…ALL your cups are full today. Some in the natural and others in the spirit…but equally FULL to OVERFLOWING.

This is Balance. This is Equal. This is Peace. This is God.
