Ears To Hear # 76
CAMP OUT
“Where
are you camping out today?”
My
thoughts take me back to the “Campfires for Jesus” our Lord led us to establish around
the hill country. They were small prayer groups in the homes of believers.
A
lot of physical stretching was going on for us at that time. Today, I reminisce vividly over each
camp fire. Seeds were planted. Important seeds for seasons to come in all of our lives.
The
word “campfires” continues to have special meanings for me. Today, it has a new meaning.
NOMADS
(wanderer – somebody
who wanders from one place to another)
As
we wander through the many truths our Lord has to teach us, prompted by His Holy Spirit, I cannot help
but speculate where you, my dear brothers and sisters in the Lord, are camping today.
Instead
of traveling from truths to truths, something I heard recently made me want to “CampOut”,
put in my stakes, and stay for a season on a specific truth. I want to stay until it is sealed
in my spirit, soul, and mind.
MY
CAMP
SITE
My
camp site for today and for the last week, has been: 1) To understand the Richness of our Heavenly
Father and to believe it is His Will to prosper all His children in All things…spiritual and
physical.
I,
too, want to see His children prosper. So, I want to learn how He brings this to pass in
their lives. Excuse the blurb…but isn’t that a good Indian camp word…”HOW”?
Yes,
I am “camping out” on His message of prosperity…that His will be done on earth as
it is in Heaven. I submit to His will for us all to prosper in all things.
WHILE I’M CAMPING OUT
While
I’m “camping out” on this main message, you could say that I am also “camping
out” on a major step that leads to the fulfillment of His desire for us to prosper.
It
is the “words of my mouth” that I might not blaspheme the Holy Spirit with words of doubt
and unbelief. One definition of blasphemy is something said or done that shows disrespect for
God or sacred things. To blame God for things the devil does, is one form of blasphemy.
“Let
the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength,
and my redeemer.” (Psalms 19:14).
I
prayed this scripture for years, yet never conquered it. So, I moved on to other camp sites (studies)
which seemed like slippery steps, trying to get to where I wanted to go.
If
you have read God’s word, you know it says that the tongue is very unruly and cannot be tamed. Considering
that God also said: All things are possible to him/her who believes, I do believe it is worth
the challenge. It can only improve our circumstances
and open doors for blessings. There is great power in it to accomplish our Lord’s will of
goodness for us and others.
“Out
of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.”
( James 3:10).
DUCT TAPE
Yesterday
I tore off a piece of duct tape to remind me that my problem was been my Big Mouth. I pictured
it on my mouth although I actually taped it to the counter near my computer, under a sign that said:
DO NOT
TALK
Failure
or Defeat
Your problem
is you Big Mouth
When
we get tired physically or spiritually, usually at the end of the day, is a great time to put the tape
on our mouth. It’s then, that we are tempted to complain and speak the lies of Satan over
ourselves. At that time we are saying what the devil says…not what God has told us. (Blasphemy?)
Charles
Capps said the Lord told him, “I said you can have what you say. But you are saying what
you have.”
Please
remember that: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not
seen”. (Hebrews 11:1).
By Faith, pray and believe for the things you ask for.
VOCABULARY OF SILENCE
I
am camping today on the Vocabulary of Silence that my brother Kenneth Copeland and his wife
camped on years ago. He said: “If I can’t talk the Word, I won’t talk at
all.”
It
will take effort to change. That is why I am camping on this Good News. If I am committed
to spend time here, I know our Father will honor it and the Holy Spirit will remind me should I be
tempted to waver.
“Prosperity
by way of my mouth”…pretty well sums up where I am camping for now. I’ve
never stayed anywhere for long.
“Lord,
I know You will help me stay here until I “Get It”.
WHERE
ARE YOU CAMPING
TODAY?
Perhaps
you think that my camp site is the only thing I am interested in, but I tell you the Truth…I
want to know where you are camping today on God’s Word.
Is
it love, end times, family, prayer, marriage, government, blessing others, preaching, soul winning,
music, teaching? I have no idea, but it would bless me “richly” if you, as a part
of the Body of Christ, would tell me where you are camping today.
Who
knows. I might want to come see you. How can I come visit if I don’t know where you
have pitched your tent today?
SMOKE SIGNALS

Please
send me a smoke signal and let me know briefly where you are. You can probably get the message
to me in one word. If you desire to bless me today…that would do it. Thanks ahead
of time.
Love,
Gwen
