Ears To Hear # 58
A BIG
THANK YOU
FROM
“BANJO”

MOVING ON UP
Banjo
and I both thank all of you so much who prayed for him. Nothing is too small or insignificant
for our Lord.
Praise
God! Praise God! Praise God! Can you tell I am happy and blessed?
THE HAND OF GOD
Once
again, I saw the Hand of God moving on my behalf. I can’t begin to tell you all the lessons
I learned from this one need.
How
God Worked: I needed the freedom to go see my children and grandchildren. Banjo needed
to be with people and at the same time have room to run that energetic little body and keep it in
shape.
I
felt led to ask you for prayer and to post his picture around town.
Patience: I had
a couple of good bites on our advertisement. Others wanted him but had different reasons they
couldn’t take him. One couple I thought Banjo would really be suited to, but the wife didn’t
want him.
I love him so much and God has used him to comfort me and be a great companion…for a season.
It was a hard decision: I
wanted to cry last night thinking about him not being here with me. But found great consolation
in knowing it would be better for him somewhere else. Ken Sandefer, a retired border patrol agent,
whose wife is a second grade teacher in our community…called. And God was increasing my
faith that this was the right couple. Every new thing I learned about them, only sounded better.
Wife…Winnie…had just
lost her pet Chihuahua. They had no other dogs.
They have 21 acres for him to run
on. And it’s fenced in. WOW. He does all the things the man wants from a dog…man
will take him in his truck…(he’s such a little man, himself). He sits for his treats. Does
not jump on people, loves people…and is such a lover…which will please the wife.
First couple…the wife didn’t
want him. This time, I found out that it was the wife who saw his picture on the post office
bulletin board and told her husband about Banjo. They had once owned a blue heeler so they were
familiar with the breed.
GRADUATION: I console
myself by seeing him “graduating” to higher blessings than what I could give him. I
truly believe he has found WORK.
21 acres. WOW. Like my
sons, he is moving on out in his call. And I will follow mine.
I CAN GO SEE HIM: Living
in this community, I had his new owner draw me a map and Winnie assured me I could come see him any
time I want to.
HE WILL NOT GO EMPTY-HANDED: He
will take his nice, familiar dog house with him, a big tub of food (I had just bought a new bad of
food and treats), his water pan, and leash. He’s such a good boy.
THE HOLY SPIRIT: told
me to see if they would like to buy a small but well built pen that I had bought at one time, but never
used with Banjo. I only used it once to capture a stray dog until help could come for it. It
is really just in my way of mowing. After they told me they had 21 acres fenced, I started not
to say anything. The price the Holy Spirit gave me to ask for it was $50.00.
IN OBEDIENCE: I was reminded
to ask. I went a round about way in asking, but received my answer. I said if they knew anyone
would like to buy it, I would be willing to sell it. Ken said, “I might be willing. How
much do you want for it?” I already had the answer….praise God. I said I was
thinking $50.00 and asked him if he thought that was too much. He said no it was not and that
he would come get it with his trailer. Praise God!
GOD IS NEVER LATE: ALWAYS
ON TIME. The couple agreed that they wanted Banjo. (Who could resist?”) But they
were going out of town and wouldn’t be back until Sunday. I would be leaving Sunday to go
to Tennessee. I had already felt in my spirit that I would be calling the kennels and telling
Bitsy again that I would not need to bring Banjo in…but I didn’t know why. Now, I
know…Praise God! But I have a new can of treats that I can take to her…for the other
dogs…as I go by her place to San Antonio.
Instead of them having to pick Banjo
up at the kennels, I can leave him tied here Sunday and they can come by my house and pick him up. He
will be where he was meant to be at this time in his life…which I am enjoying my trip to Tennessee. Praise
God!
TALK ABOUT REMAINING IN HIS REST: God
does all things perfect in His time. He knew these people, I did not. But they are just perfect
for Banjo in every way. God picked them out. It’s a lot easier to let him go when I
believe it is the best thing for him. I’m truly so happy for him.
NOW I CAN GO SEE MY CHILDREN AND
GRANDCHILDREN whenever I want to and will not have to wonder if Banjo is hard at work and getting
his needed attention and exercise. He will be a true blessing to this family. I pray that
he will make friends with their cat. I know God is not out of miracles and blessings when He
has poured this blessing so abundantly on me.
I CAN BABY SIT: If this
couple ever have to go out of town, Banjo can come see me and I am sure will feel right at home. Then
they won’t have to put him in a kennel.
FINANCIALLY BLESSED: Ken
is paying me $50.00 for the pen. I never got around to building a fence I had considered. That
saved me a lot. I will no longer be buying dog food and treats unless Banjo comes to see me. I
will not have to pay the kennel for his keep while I am in Tennessee.
THANK YOU AGAIN: Thank
you again so much for taking my prayer request seriously…although it may have seemed small in
comparison to many other prayer requests. It had meant so much to me.
LOVE ALWAYS,
GWEN/ GRANNY/ MOM
