ACCEPT THE TIME
(Please and Thank You)
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

“PLEASE” and “THANK YOU”
FORGOTTEN WORDS?

         Often when we come to sit before the Lord, our thoughts are in the natural. But, each of these natural questions will lead us to a better understanding of God…when we go in His direction. He is so gentle and patient. He will answer the same question as many times as you want to ask.
         These two forgotten words are seldom heard anymore because people are caught up in the whirlwind of the times. 
         As a young mother, I remember how it irritated me each time my mother said to my children when she gave them something, “What do you say?”
         Of course the answer was always, “Thank you!” Or, if they asked for something, the answer to “What do you say?”, was “Please!”.
         My brothers and I went through the same training. “Thanks Mom, for your persistence in teaching us, even when we didn’t see the importance of it at that time.”
         “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6).
         My brothers and I were so well trained in this, that even today, we expect others to say the two forgotten words: “Please and Thank you.”
         We forget that not everyone had the same mother that we had. Not everyone learned to say, “Please and Thank you.”

 SIGN OF THE TIMES
“Why is Life Spinning so Fast?”

         Our Lord placed a very important book in my hands yesterday. It answers a current question for me. “Why is life spinning so fast?” 
         Most people are aware of the shortness of days…time to accomplish each day’s assignments. It appears to me, that if I accomplish one major task a day, that is about all the time I have.
         Before I know it, it’s noon, then evening. Time to go to bed, then time to get up again…and walk through another short day. (Mark 13:20).

HAL LINDSEY

         God used Hal Lindsey to answer this question to my satisfaction. In his book Faith for Earth’s Final Hour, in the first chapter he reveals how we are living in the “Age of Anxiety” due to the fast pace of life that is constantly getting faster each day.
         The reason is that we are living in the final hour of the Church’s time on earth. I see our anxiety like that of a woman drawing near to her expected time to give birth. Thus the Birth Pangs (pains) described in the Bible.
         She wasn’t so anxious for the first months of her pregnancy, but she was given an estimated time…and now her anxiety grows with expectancy…because she knows it is TIME…but not sure when. Her Body knows it could be any day now. When her water breaks, she knows that will be the final sign before her deliverance. 

ACCEPT
 THE SHORT DAYS

         I began to understand this fast pace, speeding up of time, a few days before I read Hal’s book. I was walking through my living room and received the freedom to understand this in my spirit.
         “Okay Lord.”, I said. “I’ll accept these short days as a new way of life for us.  I will stop trying to make my will fit into the longer days I was use to. I accept this life of short days.”
         Peace came to me.
         Then the Holy Spirit gave me an experiential example from my past showing me how I could do this.

AMERICAN AIRLINES

         One of my first flights as a stewardess was in a small plane that rode up and down over constant air pockets. It was not smooth like the big jets today.
         As I served the passengers, the only way to balance the tray in my hand was to walk with the give and flow, the rise and fall, of the plane. My body, legs, and arms had to remain flexible. 
         If I walked the normal way I was use to, everything on my tray would have spilled and even I, would have lost my balance.
         What a spiritual picture. I remember now, that I walked “flexible”, carrying the tray on my left hand, but keeping my right hand free to hold on to the available higher rail should I lose my balance or stumble. Praise God for His Right Rail.

GOOD NEWS
(The Christian’s Greatest Hour)

         The Good News is that our Lord is coming soon. As Matthew 24:8 says, “…these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.” Jesus gave us a number of signs that would herald the era of His coming. They are all like a woman giving birth.

         Some of the birth pains are:

Ethnic groups rising against ethnic groups
Kingdom against kingdom
Famines
Great earthquakes
Plagues
Rise of false prophets
Global weather pattern changes
Increase in unprecedented super storms
Development of weapons that can destroy all life

         All of these signs are here now and increasing in frequency and severity. When we connect these signs with the most important two signs of all, the miraculous rebirth of the State of Israel and recapture of Old Jerusalem, the conclusion is inescapable. We are in the perilous times just before the Return of Christ for the Church.
         The world (unsaved) will panic, but we do not need to be anxious about anything. Let our excitement be in the promise of His soon return.

“So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.” (Mark 13:29).  Praise God!

NO NEED TO
PANIC

Phl 4:6 Be careful (anxious)for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

         One reason I share this with you is to let you know you are not the only one who sees your days flying by. We don’t have to be anxious, we just need to adjust our clocks to His. We don’t have to suffer “anxiety” when we remember to remain in His Rest…trusting Him in all things…even our short days and perilous times. When we read His Word, we learn what to expect and are not caught off guard. We can TRUST HIM.
         So, let’s not forget to say “Please come quickly, Lord Jesus.” And “Thank You for all Your promises we read in Your Word, directing us where to go, what to do, and when.”
