Ears To Hear # 52
JUDAS
But ye have an unction from
the Holy One, and ye know all things.
1 John 2:20
PARABLES OF OUR LIVES
As
I am now waiting upon the Lord this morning and feeling His favor, I approach His throne with real
excitement. I am about to ask Him a question that I have wondered about for so long.
In
the natural, I do not know the answer but Christ who abides in me knows all things. And when the
time is right, I believe He even gives us the question so we will ask. When we are able to come
boldly to His throne, knowing we are accepted and loved by Him; when we see Him smiling on us with
favor, our faith is ready to receive His answer. Our life is made up of parables. As Jesus taught
the unknowing people through parables, God also uses situations in our lives to relate back to Himself;
to understand something we have not understood before Christ.
QUESTION
“What
about Judas, Lord? What about Judas? How were you able to let him go? How did You disconnect
your mercy heart from him? You chose him, walked with him, provided for him, and forgave him,
but at the end, he still chose the world over You. You loved him as much as you did the other
disciples. Didn’t it hurt to lose him? Or were you able to just shut the door on him
when he shut the door on You? “I feel like you were able to shut the door of your “emotions” towards
Judas because it was a part of our Father’s plan and You were moving on to the Cross to save
those who would be saved.
“In
John 17:12, when You were in the world praying to our Father, You said, “While I was with them in
the world, I kept them in Thy name: those that Thou gavest Me I have kept, and none of them
is lost, but the son of perdition (Judas).”
A
key word here is “in the world”. Is there a Judas in your life…in the world? Have
you not known what to do with him/her? Are you connected so tightly to that person that you cannot
let them go? Have you followed what you saw as God’s plan on earth as much as you know how…never
giving up on that person? Yet, their denial of Christ and refusal of His Love and blessings, have
kept you tied to the earth with them.
When
Jesus released Judas to go his own way, it was soon after, that Jesus rose to save all those who chose
to be saved.
As
we follow the example of Christ in all things, His Word prepares us in 2 Thessalonians 2:2-3 “That
ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from
us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall
not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;”
DID JESUS
PASS THE TEST?
Did He Make 100 on His Exam?
On
our exams in school, we aimed for perfection. So, when I saw that Judas failed his test, I thought
maybe Jesus had failed to score a hundred.
But
now I see that 99 is a perfect score because it was the perfect plan of God.
That
is how Jesus was able to release Judas and go on and be with His Father, carrying out His Father’s
perfect will, knowing that the sons of perdition would walk the earth, even in our own homes and churches. Just
as the sons of God are everywhere, so are the sons of perdition (those who defect from the Truth).
THANKS, JUDAS

Thanks
to Judas, we can now see that only one of those who God gave Jesus, was lost. Jesus knew
that not all would be saved, but more were saved than were not, because Christ taught them the way,
and they received Him and His Words.
As
we have pampered the Judases in our lives, given them God’s Word, cajoled them, sacrificed our
lives for them, and loved them so much we were willing to die for them…they still chose the
world’s way over God’s.
NO! Jesus
did not release Judas because of the “hardness” of His heart. Judas had no excuse. He
had the same opportunity as the rest of the disciples. But it was the hardness of his heart, not
Christ’s…that caused him to self-destruct.
LET GO OF YOUR JUDAS

No,
we are not judging the judases in our lives. As long as they are alive, we can always hope for
their salvation.
But,
if after years and years, like Christ, we have given all we have to give…mainly the Truth of
His Word…we have more important things to do. Like
follow God’s plan for
our lives.
We’ve
carried our cross for this person. Christ died for him/her…but if they chose to follow
the way of the world…we must remember that we too have a choice. We choose to follow Christ
and look forward to our time in Heaven with our Father. We choose to be sons of God and not sons
of perdition.
Judas
shut the door on Jesus. Jesus did not shut the door on him. So, Jesus shook the dust of Judas
from His feet and walked on to the Cross for you and me…and considered Judas no longer worthy
of His Love.
“99” IS A PERFECT
SCORE
Yes, “99” is
a perfect score when we begin to understand God’s BIG PLAN! Not all will be saved. Satan
and his crew (our enemies) will never have the joy and peace of belonging to the Kingdom of God. But,
Praise God, I want to believe that they are only that one percent.
No,
I don’t understand all the ways of God. All the steps He uses to fulfill His Plans. His
ways are too high for me. But I do see daily lessons in His Word that direct our steps here on
earth. The Holy Spirit even teaches many lessons from the story of Judas as they relate
to individual lives and personal parables…according to present needs. God’s Word
is Alive and sufficient to guide His children into all truth…one lesson at a time. He takes
good care of His own.
All
I know in my spirit is that God allowed Judas to close the door on Jesus. And that, Jesus because
of His love for the Father, accepted that and moved on according to His Father’s will.
WILL “WE” EVER MAKE
A 100?
I
believe so. Why else would we continue to try…except for that “hope” of the
Joy that lies ahead? I like to think that when we get to Heaven, we’ll see “100” written
boldly on the paper of our life because God will have completed the work HE began in us. And He
promises that ALL things will be beautiful in His time.
Only
God can reveal to you when it is time to let your Judas go. Praise the Lord! Ninety-nine
is not such a bad score after all.
God’s
Will Be Done!
[Some of the scriptures I read
today that pertain to the words above. Hebrews 4:16, 10:19-20, I John 4:17-19, 2 Thessalonians 2:2-10,
Ecclesiastes 3:11
, John 10:7]
I pray that everyone will think about the door that Judas closed.
Before it is too late.

And for those who have a Judas on the
Other side of the door…I pray
that God will give them revelation as to when
and
if, they should walk on by…as
Jesus was called to do.
