Ears To Hear # 47
I’LL
FIX (COOK) IT
BUT
I
WON’T EAT IT FOR YOU
My
husband is an early riser…always up before anyone else. A great cook! While others
are still sleeping, he enjoys the freedom of being alone while he is preparing breakfast.
But,
once it is ready, he does not want it to be wasted by getting cold. So he says loudly to all of
us, “I’ll fix it, but I won’t eat it for you.”
And we know we had better come to the table.
HOW
WELL I CAN RELATE
As
I pray and intercede for many people, and God gives me revelation from time to time to help them…I
understand that I can “cook it”, but I can’t eat it for them.
I
also understand that if I don’t SERVE IT WHILE IT’S HOT, it loses the spices of it’s
anointing because it is prepared for that day and that time.
I
know now, as I am learning too, that God never intended for me to eat it for them.
By
specific revelations (when they come) as a way of the Holy Spirit preparing a meal for me, I can share
with them…”where to go and what to do.” But I cannot do it for them because
I am serving too many people at my assigned table to actually do the footwork, (eating) for each of
them. Although I would, if I could.
But
where is their nourishment in this? Where is their growth? Where is their delight in the
things God has prepared for them?
THROUGH
LOVE AND INTERCESSION
As
God called me to Prayer, then gave me a surprise Gift of Revelations…He never meant for me to
keep it to myself. He meant for me to pass it on to help someone else.
SOME
HAD RATHER “SLEEP-IN”
Although
the table is set, and good hot, nourishing food is available…many had rather “sleep-in”,
than come to the table.
Some
will come out of fear. Our sons, and even I, knew when my husband said these words, that this
was his last call to us.
Then
he would walk away, and go do something else. We could eat it while it was hot… or let it get
cold, or not eat at all.
He
had done his part. The rest was up to us. We had a choice.
IN
THE NATURAL
God
has used me to give advice and encouragement to a few who I have interceded for. He laid out the
whole plan of action to inspire them, showing where to go and what to do.
Now,
God is teaching me that I can pray, receive His revelation messages: I can prepare the meal
that the Holy Spirit give me. I can share with a clear conscience that what I share is not my
plans but His. So, I serve the very Best Meal I know how to share. It is a combination of
what His Word says, flavored with powerful revelations from Him.
I
CANNOT EAT IT FOR THEM
I
would be as big as the side of a barn if I tried to eat everyone’s meal for them. And they
would be skinny as a stick. No. This is not at all practical…nor is it what God desires.
LIKE
OUR HEAVENLY FATHER
Our
Heavenly Father has given us His Word and the Holy Spirit. He has given us teachers, prophets,
and intercessors to help guide us; to help prepare meals of revelation for us. But it has always
been our choice to come to the table or not.
I
can’t recall Jesus ever begging anyone to eat or listen to His Words. Jesus didn’t
beg. He probably did what my husband did…Put the Food on the Table…then walked away
allowing them to eat if they were hungry.
NOW
I HAVE LEARNED
Now,
I’ve learned that I must do the same. I’ll fix the meal as directed to my by the Holy
Spirit…but I won’t eat it for someone else.
Our
part is to prepare and serve the best way we know how. I pray the Lord releases you today, as
He has me, from feeling responsible to make others eat; even the truth. And, by the Grace of God,
once it is hot and served, we can walk on and do something else. It’s theirs to take or
leave.
As
my husband says:
“I’LL
COOK IT
BUT
I
WON’T EAT IT FOR YOU!”
