Ears To Hear # 42

“GOING THROUGH”
PRAYERS

What are you “going through” today? This is a legitimate question which can also be spoken in Faith. It can prompt a Positive Answer.
It lets you know where your friends are today, and how you can pray for them.

When you pray for others, you often see their season of life (their age). If you are old enough, you can remember what you went through at their age. This is one reason our Lord asks the older to teach the younger. Experience solidifies what we have learned from God’s Word.
Then, you consider their station in life (natural occupation): executive, clerk, parent, preacher, teacher, missionary, soldier, prophet, president, retiree, evangelist, musician, and many others. These stations help you relate to what they may be “going through”.
Think about the things you have “gone through”. I can think of so many I have “gone through”.  I know you can do the same if you will take a minute to do so.
The first thing you went through was the mind of God, as He designed every part of you before you were born. Then you “went through” the nine months inside of your mother. Then you “went through” the birth canal and came out squalling. You went through someone turning you upside down and being slapped on your behind. “What kind of cruel world had you arrived in?”, you wondered. But you “went through” it and eventually accepted it as a way of life.
Yes, “Going Through” each next step of life is what we do.

AS WE PRAY TODAY
FOR
OTHERS

As we pray for each other today, let’s consider what they are “Going Through”. Some are going through divorce. Others surgery, sick children, financial lack, questioning God, family members on drugs, unsaved loved one, houses out of order. These are just a few.
But what are they “Going Through” exactly TODAY?

I PRAY

I pray that as you pray, you SEE them all Coming Through…to the other side of their daily need.
One day at a time, we walk Through each challenge and event in our life. It becomes a part of our personal history of Faith.

NEVER ALONE

There has never been a day, or event that we have “gone through” that our Lord was not with us. Our only agony came when we thought we were alone; that there was no one who could help us, that we were totally responsible for “Going Through” on our own. And we felt helpless.

THAT’S WHAT PRAYER IS ABOUT

When man recognizes his need for God, he will bow down to the One True God, admit his own in ability to save himself. Prayer is talking to God, who desires fellowship with His children. He knows He is the only one who can truly comfort them, and give them Peace in the middle of a tough “Going Through” experience.
At any point in our lives that we reach out to God, He is able to help us establish a Trusting Relationship with Him.

BIG GOING THROUGHS

So, what BIG “Going Throughs” are you in today? Is it your children, marriage, addictions, illness, financial struggles? If you have established a strong relationship with God, then you know He is at the beginning _ in the middle _ and will rejoice with you at the end of your “Going Through.”

DAILY GOING THROUGHS

“What are you “Going Through” today?”, you may ask a friend you desire to pray for and encourage.
“Well,” they may answer, “I need to pay the bills today, wash clothes, feed my family, go to the post office, clean the house…so many things.”
Or, they may say, “I need to speak to an employee about their work ethics and am not looking forward to this.”
Or, the young athlete may say, “We’re having a big game today. I want to play my best and win.” So they “went through” the training, will be in the middle of “going through” while the game is in process. And they will have “gone through” when the game is over.

THE OTHER SIDE

Praise God! We have “come through” every trial and tribulation…and we will continue to do so. Each one has been a learning experience. And may the lesson learned in “going through”…be the assurance that there always is another side. God will not leave us in the middle. When we don’t know the way out, we can be certain that He will show us, as we come to Him as our only True Source of Love, Protection, and Direction.

THE WORLD

The world has “gone through” many changes. We are now arriving at the “other side” of “going through”. God Himself is “Coming Through” with His Plan.
Jesus Himself spoke to his disciples referring (I think) to His time to go to the cross… when He said: “But I have a baptism (death-burial-resurrection) to be baptized with; and how am I straightened till it be accomplished.” (Luke 12:50).
Christ knew there was something ahead that He must “Go Through”. The time came when He was in the middle of it and hung on the cross for us. Then he crossed to the other side of “Going Through” that event, was resurrected, and now sits beside His Father in Heaven. While He was in the middle, there was a time, that even He felt His Father had forsaken Him. But God had a Plan.

WE ARE AT THE OTHER SIDE

We are at “the other side” now of Jesus “Coming Through”. God’s waiting period is over. His Hand is moving over all the earth. We are to watch and pray and celebrate His Harvest.
Rejoice. Expect the unexpected Hand of God moving in restoration of His Plan. Don’t dwell on small earthly “Going Throughs”.  Keep your eyes on God…as He Himself…is “Coming Through for us” and His World.
Watch God…come through in a greater way than you have ever seen Him move before. He’s on the other side of His “Going Through”, and guess what! We are in His Plan…of Going Through.
Praise God! Hallelujah! Rejoice with Him! Praise His Holy Name. Let go of your “going throughs” and enjoy His.

NOW

I have no idea who this verse is for. I do not see how it fits into the theme of what our Lord has me sharing today. But it must be for some reader because the Holy Spirit keeps prompting me to include it today. If it is for you, be blessed.

“ALL SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

(2 Timothy 3:16).

SO

So, “What are you Going Through today?” Are you at the beginning, middle, or end of what you are going through? I’ll pray for you wherever you are and remind you that God is with you and always available to you, whether at the beginning – in the middle – or at the end of your many “Going Throughs”. And definitely at the end of “His Going Through”.
Jesus said in Matthew 28:20, “…and, lo, I am with always, even unto the end of the world.”

May I encourage you to pray today for ONLY those things you have always considered IMPOSSIBLE in your life. Because those are the things you will soon see coming to pass. Praise God! Try to stay focused on The Other Side of your “Going Through Prayers” rather than feeling like you are Stuck in the Middle. You are NOT. With God there is always something more…there is another side. His side. In the natural as well as the spiritual. Praise God…He has thought of all things. He is the Alpha and Omega. He knows the beginning from the end. And the end for us is only another beginning for Him with us. Eternity
