Ears To Hear # 29
GOD
ALREADY KNOWS
We
Don’t
So,
We Trust Him
For
those whose ears have already been sharpened to hear from our Lord…you will be able to understand
this whole meal just by reading the title. God Already Knows. We Don’t. So, We
Trust Him!
If
you are interested in knowing why “I” believe this, please read on. Your spirit may
very likely agree with what the Lord asked me to share in reference to present and coming events.
God
already knows what is going to happen. He made a plan and in His integrity, His plan will be carried
out.
I
believe Proverbs 3:25-26 is well able to speak to our heats about these present and coming events.
“Be
not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked when it
cometh. For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being
taken.”
PARABLE
As
our Lord taught in parables in His Word, the Holy Spirit continues to teach us through the parables
of our life. I don’t share my parables to draw attention to myself, but to clarify the message
God’s Holy Spirit has asked me to share.
I
can still see a day in the kitchen of our humble parsonage home in Mauriceville, Texas. I don’t
remember what we had done wrong, but my two brothers and I were lined up to get a spanking. Daddy
had the belt and we didn’t question that when one of us got a spanking, all three did. Don’t
ask me “why?”, I still don’t know. But Daddy surely had a reason and carried
out his plan.
All
I remember is that I was always the last and I danced around in mental torment, waiting my turn. I
cried for my brothers, but I was also fearful for myself as I saw what was happening to them.
FEAR NOT
This
is the type of “fear” I believe our Lord is referring to as we see His Plan being carried
out in this day.
As
we see destruction all around us, I am amazed that we sit comfortably in our homes as though
our time in America is not drawing near. God had a plan
for television, newspapers, and computers. Now, He uses them to make us aware of His plan being
carried out all over the world.
When
we awake from our comatose sleep patterns and recognize that God is on the move according to His Plan, if we
are not His children, Bride, we will be afraid.
A WAY OUT
God’s
greatest plan for His Family has always been the way of the Cross. Our last enemy is death and
the fear of death. So whether now or later, when our Lord comes for His children, they will be
experiencing PEACE when they understand they are His forever…paid for in full by the Blood of
the Lamb.
THE
BOTTOM LINE
When
disaster comes, as it will, the question is no longer, “Will I be saved in the natural…but,
am I ready to go Home? Have I already accepted the sacrifice Jesus made for me? Will
I have time to even think about my relationship with God should a sudden natural disaster occur, falling
on the saved as well as the unsaved?
Our
time and their time will have come to an end on this earth. It will continue either in Heaven
or hell, but it will be too late to make a choice.
It
will no longer matter to us how good we were; how many good deeds we had done; how wise we thought
we were. The greatest disaster will be if we have not already made our Peace with God by
accepting His sacrifice for our sins.
If
we have already confessed Jesus as our Lord, from a pure heart, and walked the best we knew how to
do, whether little or great in the eyes of the world, we will have NO FEAR in the midst of disaster.
Verse
26 says, “For the Lord is our confidence.” Our life is not limited to this
earth.
JUST BE READY

God
does not wish that any would perish. Whatever affairs of our life on earth that need to be settled,
let’s settle them today…ahead of time. Then, should natural disasters fall on the
just as well as the unjust, our destiny will already be decided.
If
we have already asked Jesus to forgive us of our sins and confessed that our heart’s desire is
to have Him be Lord of our life…then we are FREE from fear of the inevitable. It’s
more than just “Taking Care of Business”, setting our spiritual houses in order. God knows our
frailties, and something supernatural happens when we simply say, “Father God, I know I am a
sinner and I can’t save myself. I humbly ask You to save me.”
And
He will! By His Grace, He implants His ‘Faith to Believe’ in our hearts. We don’t
know how He does this…other than by His Love and Mercy.
He
says in His Word, “…him that cometh to me I will in
no
wise
cast
out.”
(John 6:37b).
GOD’S WORD
God’s
Word is full of instructions for our earthly walk. But a greater Plan yet, unfolds. If we
read His Word, we can know more of His plan and understand that it is all about His Best for us.
God already knows
what will happen next. We do not. We have some idea by studying His Word. He has not
kept His Big Plan a secret from us. It’s there if we choose to read.
WHAT ABOUT US?
What
Are We to Do?
Our
place is to TRUST God! All He asks us to do is to trust Him, and pray that His Will be
done on earth as His Will is being done in Heaven. Not our will…not our way, but His will,
His way, His time. Not to try and change His plans because that is useless, but to Trust Him,
that He IS carrying them out. And since He is All Wisdom and All Love…we can Trust Him. He
wants us to discern whose we are and the signs of the times.
As
John the Baptist was beheaded, and many mortars have gone in ways that natural man would not choose
or understand, we will continue in Peace while those around us may be falling apart. Should disaster
strike suddenly, catching the world unaware, it will no longer matter what we know…but Who we know and
Who we Trust. It will no longer matter “when” we go, but ”where we go and with
Whom.”
As
my sister-in-the-Lord, Helen, signs her emails….”See you at the House.” Praise
God! I know she will.

Take the High Road
