Ears To Hear # 26

          Open your Bible. As you allow our Lord to direct you to a passage, you may be pleasantly surprised by what He wants to show you today in His Word.
         I received a personal direction today in Matthew 13:57-58.
         Then my interest was drawn to Matthew 14:22 on the opposite page where I had been reading last night.
         Entering the season when I could relate to Jesus on a friendship level, and always desiring to be closer to Him and know Him better, the Holy Spirit showed me a more satisfying way to read the following scriptures. It was Jesus talking to me like I was His friend. Can you believe that? What an awesome concept.
         But I knew it was true as He went beyond the red letters and began telling His own story one-on-one to me.
         He was telling me about the day He walked on the water. Why not insert your name where I have mine? He said, “(Gwen ________), let Me tell you about that day.” And He began to tell me in Matthew 14:22-29.

         “And straightway I constrained my disciples to get into a ship, and go before me unto the other side, while I sent the multitudes away.
         “And when I had sent the multitudes away, I went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, I was there alone.
         “But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.
         “And in the fourth watch of the night (3:00 to 6:00 a.m.) I went unto them walking on the sea.
         “And when the disciples saw me walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit (a ghost or apparition), and they cried out for fear.
         “But straightway I spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
         “And Peter answered me and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
         “And I said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to come to me.”

         Now, Jesus just told His own story personally to you. He is your friend and He loves you very much.

           As these servings of Angel Food are called “Ears to Hear”, I hope you understand that I am not saying that I am the only one who hears. One of the things my Father desires of me is to help others hear from Him personally. This Angel Food is sent out to many as directed by the Lord. Some are babies, some teens, and some adults. You know which you are.
         I delight in sharing with others what our Lord has shared with me. But the reward is knowing that you are hearing from Him also. It blesses me more than you can know, when you tell me what you have heard from the Lord with your own spiritual ears.
         Father, Son, and Holy Spirit desire for us all to hear with our spiritual ears, so that when Jesus comes for His Bride, we will recognize His Voice in our inner man, as He calls us by name to join Him. Although we are only a part of the Bride of Christ, we remain His personal child.

HAVE FUN– REJOICE
HE’S ON HIS WAY!
