Ears To Hear # 20

REMAIN AWARE OF THE
SALT SHAKER

Is there one hanging over your head?

How often the salt shaker of Satan is present in the circumstances of our lives. “For everyone will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
“Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.”
(Matthew 9:49-50).

SALT TURNS TO VICTORY

Recognize the salt and it’s value. Without an opponent, there is no Victory and no growth. God uses even our enemies to salt us and help us grow.
Our lives dedicated to God are pleasing sacrifices. When we have placed our lives on His Altar, we may not understand why that salt shaker seems to shake on us in so many situations of our lives.
When the Holy Spirit gives us revelation of the salt’s worth, we are grateful that God loved us enough to allow salt to be poured over our wounds, preparing us to be more like Him. Allowing us to see that He considers us a worthy sacrifice to Himself.
We are a sweet aroma to our Lord.
As little children, we don’t understand what is happening to us when the salt-shaker appears from time to time. It is our lack of knowledge and understanding that causes the pain. Not seeing a purpose for the salt-shaker makes us feel unloved. We may feel as though we are bad children being punished by a bad Father when we have no idea what we have done wrong.
Somewhere along the way we cry out to God to help us understand and He gives us a “Handle on the Salt-Shaker.” We begin to see its value and recognize its presence. Even so much so, that we can be grateful for each salting that comes our way.
The salt shaker cannot hurt us when we know the Truth and the Purpose of our suffering. God will use it for us…not against us as He watches us mature to the level of “Salty Christians”. Christians who have been tried in the fires and found nothing wanting (lacking).
Every day, in a million ways we don’t understand, God is preparing His children…the Bride of Christ.

WE BEGIN TO SALT OTHERS

Yes, as in verse 50, we are being seasoned so that our experiences with the salt-shakers of sadness, grief, fear, depression, and many other things, have led us to the feet of Jesus. It hurts, and we cry out until He shows us the Purpose behind the Salt-shaker.
Ironic as it seems, He is turning us into the Salt of the Earth. Matthew 5:13-14 says, “Ye are the SALT OF THE EARTH and the light of the world.” It’s through our awareness of the enemy’s salt shaker and how God has allowed it to purify us…turning us into worthy SALT that can encourage others. We do this by telling them from our own experiences (testimonies) how God has brought us through every fire; loving us so much He even uses what the devil means for evil…to our good.
No experience needs to be wasted. It can be used to Salt the World with the abundant knowledge of God and His ever Faithfulness to teach His children His ways.

DANGLING SALT-SHAKER

Watch out for that salt shaker, as though it is dangling over your head by a string. It hovers, ready to pour as soon as it sees an opening left by fear. As long as Faith is built up, the salt of the enemy has no place to pour.
Great Peace abides with us when, in wisdom, we accept that Satan’s salt shaker is ever present…hanging over us like that salt shaker tied to a string, ready to pour at any point he sees “fear” or lack of Faith.
Stay Alert! Stay awake to your enemy that roars like a lion. But Fear Not  because that is his only weapon.
KNOW that you are the “TRUE” Salt of the Earth. You are the Seed of God. (I John 3:9). Be aware of your enemy, but KNOW your God. Know God’s Word and be a Salt-Shaker for Jesus by telling the truth about Satan and even more about God. “Refined Salt” is what you have become…blessed by our Father.

[Editors Note: It fascinates me the way the Bible is so alive for each of us…stronger than a two-edged sword as it discerns the personal thoughts and intents of our hearts. (Hebrews 4:12). God is so personal. If you read these scriptures today, God may have shown you something completely different. And that’s just the way He is. According to your experience and the salt-shakers of your life, the Holy Spirit is able to make each scripture relevant and personal just for you. Enjoy and Stay Blessed.]

KEEP ON SHAKING…ALL OVER THE WORLD!
