Daily Angel Food

For years I ran in circles, attempting to do many many things in one day...or one hour...or one half hour. It made me dizzy, nervous, and definitely unfulfilled at the end of each day.

Time became a total frustration. Then, the Lord showed me a way to make my plans for each day.

Now, as I read my Bible each morning and visit with my Lord, I keep a small pad and pen near me. Since I have already told the Lord that I want to do His will today, I am expecting to hear directions from the Holy Spirit.

How do I do that? I listen with my heart and spirit. Impressions come to me, and in my spirit, I know that is God's daily plan for me.

Today, I am hearing a strong, but pleasant, desire to mow the grass. After all, it is spring and everything is turning new, green, and growing. He places His desires in our hearts and when this happens, we look forward to His Plans for this day. My own list is much too long. But His plans are easy.

Another plan for today is to order a new birth certificate for my husband. One of those Honey Do's. I try to do these things for him because I'm being trained that my husband is the head of our home and as I do them unto him, I am doing them unto God.

Another thing today, is to share this Angel Food and continue learning how to build this web page. Which means I need to write another "Thank You" note to Johnny and Dawn for helping me so much. so I choose His plans over mine.

I love His verse in The Living Bible Paraphrased. This plan of Mine is not what you would work out, neither are my thoughts the same as yours! For just as the heavens are higher thanthe earth, so are my ways higher than yours, and my thoughts than yours. Isaiah 55:8-9.

And one of my favorites for years, has been, and still is, Isa.30:21 (LBP). And if you leave God's path and go astray, you will hear a Voice behind you say, "No, this is the way; walk here." Not that we are doing something really wrong...but just that we want to stay on His track (plans) rather than our own. His ways are always higher and bring more success than ours. I call this "Wisdom", don't you?

Then, as my day goes on, "whatsoever my hand finds to do, I do with all my might." But now I have a plan.

If I can accomplish at least two of my major assignments for the day and check them off of my list, I will know that I have followed the leading of the Holy Spirit.

When we follow one day at a time...His will...we will arrive where He wants us to be. So, today, I know God has Good Plans for me. I don't know what all of them are down the road...but these are good plans for today and I am beginning to excitedly look forward each morning with great expectation, to receive my new assignment.

It's always fun when we learn to TRUST Him, hear His Voice, do things His Way.
