God has assigned you your own special lane and speed limit.
If you go too fast, you lose perspective and control. If someone is forcing you to make a decision, you become nervous and unsure.
When you stay in your own lane, you avoid oncoming danger. Don't try to travel in someone else's lane.
God will tell you when to pass. Then you can move ahead safely, with confidence and joy.
HOW DO WE HEAR FROM GOD?
My favorite way is through a still, small, voice in my spirit. Other times, I witness truth from what a friend is saying, or something I am reading. The most assured way, is from His Word in the Bible. If my decision lines up with His Word, I can usually feel His smile of agreement in my spirit. This brings peace to me and gives me the confidence to boldly make the important decision to "pass" or "remain steady".
"FOLLOW AFTER PEACE"...has been one of the most productice slogans for me. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. It is better that I don't force my way into issues but rather, enter His Rest and trust Him to lead me into a clear passing lane.
More often than not, I hear the Lord say,
" Be still...and know...that I am God." (Ps.46:10)
This hearing from God took practice for me. The first time I heard the Holy Spirit speaking to me in my spirit (not outloud) was when I made the Angel Food Card that says, "Put Hot Soapy Water In theSink".
STAY IN YOUR LANE
So, if you have an important decision to make today....whether to move ahead, slow down,
or just cruse along...please follow after the Peace God gives you, when you have asked for His advice. Don't try to do what someone else would do, or even what you think would be
best.
Listen to the One who knows all things and Loves You Personally.
