People are hungry for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Those who have never received this infilling are curious and often afraid of it. Yet, their curiosity compels them to read books about it, even if under cover, so their friends will not make fun of them.

As my question was, “How does one receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit?”, I too, wanted to reject what I read until I found out that others had experienced the same doubts.

I wanted to know how it happened for someone else, but no one could tell me. That is why I wrote it exactly as it happened to me. Otherwise, I would not have been able to remember it and tell others.

Many churches have bookstores and the hungry are buying books to help them understand the spiritual and supernatural gifts of God. They desire to find the power God has made available for them, sensing that it is there, but seeking to understand it and have it as a part of their lives. Everyone’s experience will be different, but I pray that readers will recognize enough similarities in this book to direct them toward receiving the power of the Holy Spirit for themselves.

Gwen Watkins is a freelance writer living in Utopia, Texas. A graduate of Baylor University at Waco, Texas, with a major in Speech and Drama and a minor in Education and Physical Education. She has a Master’s Degree in Education and Mid-Management Certification in Administration from Sul Ross University in Alpine, Texas. She has been a teacher and athletic coach for twenty-three years.

Gwen is presently retired from teaching in the public schools but teaches Bible studies to young women in her home. As a graduate of Abundant Life School of Ministry in LaMarque, Texas, her desire is to “Send Forth God’s Word Through Writing,” believing her experiences will help others.

Gwen’s father was a minister so she grew up in a Christian home. She has two sons, six grandchildren...and many children in the Lord.

Below are some comments on the book:

Congrats. on your book. I know that it will bless many because I know that you hear from Yahweh and have responded to a need in the body of believers. I pray that it will serve many in the body and make them to grow stronger and more secure in Him. Love and shalom, Linda

That is a beautiful front to your book Gwen and a lovely picture of you. You are so pretty my dear friend always have been inwardly and outwardly. I wish you much happiness and blessings from this venture. Although we don't share many of the same beliefs, We do share the fact that Our Jesus Christ gave his life for each of his children so they may be free of sin. I do admire you so much and cherish our friendship. Love, Wanda
